00:00The changing of the guard for who's going to lead the U.S. national men's team and that
00:08is going to be Mauricio Pochettino.
00:11So we do have a change.
00:12It was Burrhalter before who I don't know who liked him at all.
00:15I never ran into anybody or talked soccer with anybody because you know what?
00:18That head coach here for the U.S. here, the manager, he's a real good one.
00:21Now it's a changing of the guard.
00:23I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but you know what?
00:26Change was needed here, Dubs.
00:28What are your thoughts on the changing of the guard?
00:30Could we actually be a contender coming up sooner than later on the World Cup stage?
00:35The road to 2026 just got a lot more exciting, Mauricio Pochettino.
00:41And look, this is what Team USA absolutely needed.
00:45This is a gaffer, a head coach, a manager that's going to warrant a lot of respect in
00:49the locker room and for Greg Burrhalter and Team USA, that has been the thing that has
00:54been missing.
00:55There's been a lot of smoke about the players not seeing eye-to-eye with Greg.
00:58There's been a couple of well-documented riffs off the pitch there.
01:02So for Team USA, they had to make the change.
01:04They had to make the decision, and I'm glad they went after it to a name with a bit of
01:08firepower.
01:09It comes across there from Chelsea.
01:10Had a lot of success at the tail end of the season there for Pochettino in Chelsea.
01:15Didn't agree with eye-to-eye with some of the upper level there of management, but he
01:19will bring a very unique style.
01:21It's an old-school style of playing football where they can roll up the sleeves and get
01:25it done.
01:26This is absolutely what the American national side needed because this is the time.
01:30This is the window where we're going to see American soccer really thrive.
01:34The next World Cup being right here in North America and the firepower, the young players.
01:38I mean, this is the best bunch that Team USA has ever seen.
01:42This crop is really talented.
01:44Could they win the World Cup, Donny?
01:46I don't know.
01:47That'd be a massive step, but they could absolutely make a push towards the quarterfinals and
01:51the semifinals coming off Copa America from what we saw recently.
01:54That was another disappointment and for me, it was glaring.
01:57All things pointing towards the head coach had to change and now we've got some real
02:01star power.
