00:00I would suggest looking at the balance of the squad. I think we discussed this earlier
00:06off camera that Pompey and John Macienas pretty much said this, left back and right back,
00:12business done there. I would say pretty much everywhere else that you could still be looking
00:18at activity before the close of the window with an obvious focus on the one pressing
00:25area would be centre back. Pompey really needs to strengthen there with players out
00:30in that department at the moment. Even striker, attacking areas in the ten, certainly midfield,
00:40I reckon there's going to be quite a flux of activity with John himself saying he's
00:47looking to fill up the five loan positions. That would be another four signings a loan
00:52and one or two noises about maybe even a permanent or two on top. So you're looking
00:56at a minimum four, maybe five or six signings before the close of the window.
01:01First game of the season, a truly memorable game and a decent result from Pompey. What
01:06was your assessment of it all?
01:08The food was fantastic, Mark. Yes, the food in the press facilities were top draw. The
01:15fried breakfast, that early start, that 5am departure was well worth it. Oh, you're talking
01:23about the football? Sorry, sorry.
01:25Of course, you get your priorities right though.
01:30It's interesting that Pompey are pretty adamant that they haven't lost out on their targets.
01:38So the one target we do know is Alex Robertson going to Cardiff. We know that that was a
01:45certainly one that they were pushing hard on. The official line is that the reality
01:52is probably there would have been one or two others on top of that, that they would have
01:55missed out, such as how the transfer window works. But I think they're saying that the
02:00players are still there, both permanents and loans.
