Droughts caused by severe heat in Hungary lead to serious agricultural damage

According to the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture, the areas damaged by drought are growing by several tens of thousands of hectares every week.

00:22According to the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture, the areas damaged by drought are growing by
00:27several tens of thousands of hectares every week.
00:56According to one agricultural economist, the damage to cornfields alone is valued at
01:01at least 600 million euros, with this year's yield expected to drop from the average eight
01:07to nine tons to less than five.
01:26Meteorologists expect the heat to continue for at least another week, further damaging
01:31already struggling harvests and driving up food prices.
