00:00Civil servants will be getting salary increments of between 7% and 15% under the new public
00:26service remuneration system, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced today.
00:33Anwar said that, considering the country's challenging economic situation, the salary
00:38increments will be implemented in phases and will only apply to civil servants who have
00:43opted for the SSPA scheme.
00:46Phase 1 will be on December 1 and Phase 2 will be on January 1, 2026.
00:54However, Anwar warned that the pay hikes will only be granted to those who are performing
00:59well at their jobs.
01:01Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the government has allocated more than RM10
01:23billion for the salary adjustment, which will be applicable to all civil servants.
