00:00The target of the Agriculture Department is to open the Kadiwa Store for franchising.
00:07In his interview with Malacanang Insider,
00:09DA Secretary Francisco Tio Laurel Jr. said that they plan to open it
00:16to private operators and cooperatives that follow the DA's policies and guidelines.
00:23The agency also targets to have standardized operating days and hours
00:29so that more people can know about it.
00:33At present, there are 17 Kadiwa Stores that regularly operate
00:38while there are 230 in their operating days and hours.
00:44They also target to open 800 to 1,000 Kadiwa Stores in the next 4 years.
00:52Remember, at the 3rd State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand R. Barcos Jr.,
00:58the Executive Board of the Government Agencies decided to make the Kadiwa Store permanent.
01:08Of course, it's not that easy, but we will also do Kadiwa franchising.
01:12We will allow private sector operators or cooperatives to use the Kadiwa name in selected sites
01:18as long as they abide by the rules and guidelines or policies of the DA.
01:22It's important for Kadiwa to be there and sell at a reasonable price.
