00:08The Department of Health has confirmed that the number of hospital beds in public hospitals is sufficient to address the patients affected by leptospirosis.
00:17Health Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson Albert Domingo explained that the agency has ordered to increase the capacity of public hospitals.
00:24Additionally, the official said that the patient can be admitted to other public hospitals other than NKTI and San Lazaro Hospital.
00:33This includes from August 8 to August 13.
00:36The number of cases of leptospirosis reported by the DOH is already at 523.
00:41The agency cannot afford to expose the patients to floods or experience symptoms,
00:46so they should consult with a doctor immediately in order to be given the right medicine and their condition should not worsen.
