00:00The Department of Health continues to increase the number of cases of leptospirosis and dengue
00:05after the typhoon Karina and Habagata.
00:08According to the DOH, from August 8 to 13,
00:12523 new cases of leptospirosis were added.
00:17423 were adults and 100 were children.
00:218 of them were on mechanical ventilators and 243 were recommended for dialysis.
00:2743 of them died of leptospirosis.
00:31As of now, there is no shortage of hospital beds in hospitals in the country.
00:35From January 1 to August 3,
00:37more than 136,000 cases of dengue were reported,
