00:00It's a good question as to why mpox is spreading so quickly, and there's a lot of data and evidence
00:04that's still being calculated as to the reasons for why is the case. My suspicion is that this
00:10particular strain is more severe, it is more easily transmissible between humans, and that
00:17may be due to the fact that the virus has continued to circulate across global communities, including
00:23in this part of the African continent. Mike, just like what we saw with COVID, where over time the
00:28COVID virus managed to easily get transmitted between people, I'm concerned that this particular
00:35virus has also learned and adapted over time on how to be transmitted human to human as opposed
00:41to just traditionally being passed off to humans from animal reservoirs.
