We saw one of the best wins of the Rangers season last night as they came down from multiple deficits to beat the Red Sox in extra innings. Can this win turn into a springboard for the team to get hot and turn into the contender we all thought they'd be at the beginning of the season? K&C discuss that as well as more second half storylines for the MLB season, including the idea that the team could place players on waivers to save salary if they don't turn things around.

00:00Then you won't care for my first question in storylines to watch for the rest of the
00:19major league season.
00:22Do you think a story to line to watch is will the Rangers have a massive releases this month
00:2750 50 not if they win the next one just hey and then the next so hold on no I really like
00:36the idea that they win tonight okay we're good Kevin all right I know I've told you
00:41happened in the White Sox I've told you about Shoresie like yeah that's one of my favorite
00:45shows I love Shoresie it's an absolute blast the beginning of the show is basically they're
00:50playing whale as hockey all right it's a it's it's minor league minor league minor
00:55league hockey and they're gonna fold the team and Shoresie's like don't do it please like
01:04we will never lose again that's what it's what he tells them and she's like you can't
01:08ever lose again he's like just let me collect my team and I think that's what needs to happen
01:14coach needs to walk in there with a Ray Davis cut out all right and just have and say all
01:19right guys every time y'all win a game we remove a piece of Ray Davis's suit and then like that
01:24and then the team rallies together never loses another game and just keeps going then why would
01:29you sell why would you say hey we're releasing these players we let's make another run at this
01:34championship I like that idea more than I like Ray Davis is gonna piece off everyone I didn't
01:40say the storylines you like I said the storylines to watch that might define the regular season
01:48I think if they are oh please because you're a sports fan you watch things you don't like all
01:54the time if they are 10 or more games back on August 28th I I would lean towards 70% that
02:08they release or put on waivers so I'm gonna make this clear you don't just ultimately release them
02:13what you do is you put them on waivers if anybody claims them they got order but if they're I know
02:20this I'm gonna give two different numbers here if they are seven games out of the division I
02:26think they'll hold on to Andrew Heaney and of all the and a couple other guys that their contracts
02:33are up at the end of the year and the likelihood of the Rangers financially being able to compete
02:39in the marketplace to get them to come back isn't very high then I think they will keep them if
02:46they're seven or less I think if it's ten or more they will put two to four guys on waivers to save
02:54money for the rest of this season okay and there's that buffer of eight or nine that I don't know
02:58what they'll do now it could
