00:00Sure, we know there's plenty still to be sorted out around the club,
00:02but at the same time, it feels like there's a more positive atmosphere about the place.
00:07How does it feel to you?
00:09You get the sense of, I think, after last season,
00:13the challenge is a positive finish to the season
00:16and a more positive feel, a bit more calmness, I suppose.
00:19Not just positivity, but a bit more calmness,
00:22maybe a bit more reality of the truth of what the situation is.
00:26It takes a dampening down of such a passionate fan base at times
00:29just to speak the truth and let them align with that.
00:32And I think there's a mixture of circumstances, but I do agree.
00:35I think, generally, being up and around the people here in my pre-season games,
00:39we tried to keep them local so lots of fans could join in.
00:41And I think there is a better, certainly a better feel
00:44and a more positive feel, generally speaking.
00:46Has recruitment helped that as well?
00:48Because the fans' view is that, in terms of the recruitment,
00:51it's worked to a better model than we've seen over a number of years at the Football Club.
00:55Well, some of it has been a have-to situation.
00:58We've tried to be open with that in my time here so far.
01:00And, you know, trying to get players in who do fit the club, of course,
01:04and can grow into the club.
01:07And I think we've worked hard collectively, but particularly Kevin,
01:10the team of scouts, to try and align the right players.
01:14You know, the only sort of balance to that is that the players we've brought in
01:18haven't got much Premier League experience.
01:20And it's a very tough league, as you know.
01:23So it's how quickly they can affect the group,
01:25but also affect it not just pre-season, of course, when you go into the real stuff.
01:29And that's yet to be seen.
01:30But I think we've adapted the best we can to the challenges of the Football Club financially.
