00:13in the same league as the 2024 Paralympic Games.
00:17With an unanswered question, the individual closest to Azizul, the head of technical
00:22cycling in the country, John Beasley, has his own opinion about the decision that will
00:27be made on his son's date.
00:30The head of technical cycling in the country, John Beasley, stated that he will still support
00:34the decision that will be taken by Azizul in addition to adding that he will always be
00:38on the side of his son if he still wants to continue his career.
00:42The individual, nicknamed The Pocket Rocket Man, apparently needs time to think deeply
00:48before making a decision to leave the world of cycling.
00:59I'm proud of what he's achieved and support him through the next phase of his life.
01:03So whatever that may be, and that's something we've got to plan through as well.
01:08But at the moment, we just leave it, give him some family time.
01:12He's coming back in a couple of weeks and then we're going to work through, okay,
01:16what's the future look like?
01:17Is it going to involve another big tournament or is it, you know, that's it?
01:23I started with him, you know, right at the start of his career and I've ended with him
01:29at we think is the end of his career, but it may not be.
01:33And if he decides to come out of retirement, of course I'll be there for him.
01:37So, you know, but my role is to support everyone in the program.
01:43And yeah, but certainly for him, he's like my son.
01:49So of course I would do anything I could to help him.
01:53In that regard, John also placed high hopes for the Malaysian people
01:57to not continue to make unfair threats to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hannah Yeoh.
02:02This is when John hosted the Road to Gold program, which was introduced by Hannah.
02:06It helped a lot to make sure that the preparations were neat for Paris 2024 without any problems.
02:12People don't realize how hard it is to qualify for the Olympics, let alone get on the podium.
02:18And Shah Firdaus just missed out on salvaging the cycling program, another medal.
02:25And that would have been three Olympics in a row, but that's sport, unfortunately.
02:29But please stop bashing Hannah. Let her do her job.
02:34Judge her at the end of her tenure, but look at the structures that she's put in place and setting up.
02:42And it will be probably after her tenure when the success comes.
02:47But she'll be a massive part of it, believe me.
