UAW Files Labor Charges Against Trump and Musk for Union Busting Remarks

The United Auto Workers union filed federal labor charges against former US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk with the National Labor Relations Board for publicly praising union busting. During an interview on Musk's new platform X, Trump applauded Musk for firing employees who threatened to strike at Tesla. Under US labor law, firing workers for threatening to strike is illegal, as workers have a right to strike. The UAW represents over 400,000 auto workers and has endorsed Kamala Harris for president, while the Teamsters union still decides its endorsement. SpaceX was also accused of illegally firing employees who wrote a letter criticizing Musk and his conduct.
