Johnny Pizza 2 Eggs Breakfast

  • last month
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Johnny’s Restaurant and Pizza, located at 3001 28th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, a place I initially thought had the best breakfast in town. My first experience at this local gem was outstanding, prompting me to give them another try. Unfortunately, my subsequent visits did not live up to the high expectations set by my first experience. Here, I’ll share my detailed experience, hoping it helps fellow food lovers in making informed choices.

The First Visit: A Delightful Discovery
On my first visit to Johnny’s, I decided to drive to the location and place my order over the phone. I picked up the 2 eggs breakfast with added grits and extra bacon, and everything seemed perfect. The food was cooked to perfection: the grits were creamy and flavorful, the eggs were just right, and the bacon was generously portioned and crisp. Even the toast was fantastic. This meal was, without a doubt, one of the best breakfasts I had ever had in town. It left a lasting impression, making me eager to return for more.

The Second Visit: A Slight Disappointment
The second visit, however, was less than stellar. This time, I decided to order through Uber Eats, hoping for the same delightful experience delivered to my doorstep. Unfortunately, it wasn’t up to par. The food arrived, and it was evident that it lacked the same care and attention as my previous order. I wasn’t able to capture the experience on camera, but I was left disappointed. The quality had noticeably dropped, and the presentation was sloppy. It was clear that the same cook wasn’t behind this meal, and it lacked the excellence I had come to expect from Johnny’s.

The Third Visit: A Complete Letdown
Determined to give Johnny’s another chance, I decided to place another order through Uber Eats. I was hopeful that this time, I would receive a meal worthy of a glowing review. Sadly, this was not the case. When my order arrived, I immediately noticed that the bag felt heavy and wet. Concerned, I grabbed my camera to document the unboxing for my review. As I opened the bag, I discovered that half of my grits had spilled, pooling at the bottom of the bag. Thankfully, the food was packed in a plastic bag; otherwise, a paper bag would have been a complete disaster.

Assessing the Blame: Restaurant vs. Delivery
While it’s easy to blame the restaurant for this mishap, I believe the issue wasn’t entirely their fault. The previous order I received also had a sloppy presentation, which leads me to think that it might be a recurring problem at the restaurant. However, I can’t ignore the possibility that the delivery driver contributed to the issue by mishandling the bag. Despite tipping $20 on an $18 order, the quality of service and care was lacking. This experience left me puzzled and angry.

The Final Verdict: Inconsistencies Abound
Once I managed to salvage the contents of the bag, I found that the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, just like my first visit. However, the

00:00What's up y'all, it's your girl Renee.
00:02Good morning y'all, how y'all doing?
00:07Happy, what is today? Today is Tuesday.
00:10Sorry, Wednesday.
00:12I ordered from Johnny's Pizza.
00:16And I ordered a, let's see what I got here.
00:22I got the two eggs breakfast.
00:25I got some grits, bacon.
00:28Basically you get two scrambled eggs with the two eggs breakfast.
00:31Two scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon and home fries.
00:35Now that's in here.
00:36So I'm going to take this out and show you guys what happened.
00:38I got to be very careful here because I just came here to get the lighting to show you guys.
00:43My package arrived like this.
00:46Here's the cup.
00:47Now this came from Uber.
00:48The driver, I will be letting you guys see what the driver was like from the Uber.
00:54I have to rate him.
00:56I actually paid about $30 for this.
00:58This is including the tip.
01:00I gave a $20 tip from Uber Eats.
01:03So this is Uber Eats as well.
01:05I'm showing you what happens even when you do tip well.
01:09My food came up to about $18.
01:11I gave them a $20 tip on top of the $18 meal.
01:15Okay, my food comes like this.
01:17This is the second time I ordered from Johnny's Pizza.
01:19Now let me just explain something to you.
01:23I normally do the morning stuff like grits.
01:26Apparently the grits came in a cup that was packed.
01:29This is how it came.
01:30I have not adjusted anything.
01:32I just opened the bag and I said I got to record this.
01:35I was going to do an official review of this business because I really love how well they do the grits.
01:42I think they were on to something.
01:45However, this is just poor packaging or maybe the Uber driver just slung my stuff all over the car.
01:49I don't know.
01:51But I'm showing you the truth.
01:52This is what this channel is all about.
01:55And now that we know that Google is a monopolist,
01:58you'll probably see in some of my videos go through the algorithm because you guys know that I ended my relationship with YouTube because of pay.
02:05And now that that's going on, that's a whole nother story.
02:07However, this is what I got in the delivery a minute ago.
02:13Uber did give me a refund.
02:14That's the cup that the grits came in.
02:17Let me show you what it looks like inside of the bag.
02:19This is the plate where it has the breakfast in it.
02:23Look at that.
02:26Grits all over my plate.
02:29So let me show you.
02:31This is the eggs meal.
02:36The two eggs, two bacon hash browns.
02:39Grits.
02:41Grits arrived all over the back of my plate.
02:49And, you know, I really wanted the grits.
02:52Taking nothing away from the taste.
02:54I think they're absolutely good when they want to.
02:56I haven't opened this.
02:58Sometimes they get it right.
02:59Sometimes they don't.
03:01This is the egg breakfast.
03:03Here's the hash browns.
03:05Perfectly cooked.
03:07I'm sorry.
03:09I like home fries more than hash browns.
03:11This is the eggs that you get.
03:13This is the bacon that I got.
03:14I added extra bacon, but normally you'll get just two pieces of bacon, two eggs, and you get home fries.
03:20However, that looks fine.
03:22Okay, this is the problem.
03:24And my grits, it's all in my bag.
03:28So if you're going to order from here, which I'm still probably going to eat these.
03:33I'm just going to scrape it from the bottom.
03:35I just don't know.
03:36The packaging was horrible.
03:37When he brought my food, my grits was in there, and the cup was like this.
03:41And how they're doing the grits, they felt like it was a good idea to throw it in a bag when you know you're doing Uber.
03:47And let me show you the lid.
03:49Here's the lid where they had on top of the grits.
03:51They felt like, let me just put the grits inside of a cup with a lid like this in a cup, and it makes sense that it'll get there safely.
03:59I don't understand why they would do that when I've had my grits actually handled better than this.
04:05So I don't know why they thought that was a good idea.
04:08The only thing I have with this restaurant that I can say it was just sloppy presentation.
04:12And something like this pisses me off, especially when you're hungry.
04:15You want to eat a good breakfast or whatever have you.
04:18I was actually going to do a very good review for this.
04:21Luckily, they did not know who I was.
04:23Normally, I will leave a tip.
04:25Hey, I want to shout you out sometimes because I get tired of doing bad reviews on restaurants.
04:30However, people say, no, Renee, don't do that.
04:33Give us the truth.
04:34Show us straight up about the restaurant because we want to know the truth.
04:38Don't sugarcoat it.
04:39Just let us know.
04:40Real deal.
04:41So this is a real deal look of what is going on.
04:44My grits is all in my bag.
04:46I can't make this shit up.
04:49Look at that.
04:50And this is what they decide to put it in a cup, which it doesn't even like that the grits even made it in a couple like they just all squirted out in my bag.
04:59And the lid got everything.
05:02However, again, you know, home fries, eggs, bacon all look great.
05:08This is Johnny's pizza.
05:10They do very good breakfast.
05:12However, they really dropped the ball on this.
05:15I just I don't know.
05:17The address here is three.
05:19I'm sorry.
05:20Three thousand one twenty eight Street North St. Petersburg Florida three three seven one three.
05:25I will be doing a posting this on all of my social media.
05:29It just has to be talked about.
05:31I try to give you guys the scoop on everything.
05:34You know, if you're listening to the audio podcast of this, please go to the rumble channel at your government reviews and you can catch video of what this is looking like.
05:44I've never been so disappointed when I really it's all the time when I really want to eat breakfast and it always comes bad.
05:51I don't know why.
05:52Like when you're really hungry, they can never get it right.
05:54However, when you're not really that hungry and you just want to do something, they seem to do a pretty good job.
05:59But in Florida, if you're in the St. Petersburg area, you're looking for Johnny's pizza and you want to get this particular dish, which is the two breakfast, two egg breakfast scrambled eggs comes with it.
06:11Home fries and bacon.
06:13Normally you will get two pieces of bacon.
06:15As I said before, I added a little bit more.
06:18And like I said, I did it through Uber.
06:20You're probably better off going to the restaurant and getting your plate because this is how they're shipping the stuff out, which makes no damn sense.
06:27So with that said, guys, as always, I'm your girl Renee, giving you the real deal on reviews all the time.
06:33Let's go.
06:34All right.
