On average, home buyers spend just twenty minutes viewing a property before making an offer, with some deciding in as little as five minutes. How quickly would you decide on a property? Would competition influence your decision to bid sooner? What are the key factors you consider when viewing a house?

00:00I would take a lot longer to put a bid in on a house and the things I'd look for would be structure like a lot of people look at how it looks but I'm a lot more interested in how it's built.
00:16I've been house viewing with my friends and the amount of places that just reek of damp you know and that kind of thing the fundamentals are key in a house if you want to live there for a long time.
00:27I put an offering on my house but I was 20 minutes after viewing it and I knew that 20 minutes was enough because I'd viewed so many more before then.
00:35I knew what I was looking for and by the time I'd seen the correct one that was it and I partly put it in because I was bidding against other people.
00:42So I went in for the full asking price, didn't want to try cutting down on the sake that I'm competing against many others.
00:51But I do find that the property market is just absolutely hammered in the UK. I mean first time buyers now they've got know-how.
