00:00I heard you shot the whole film in chronological order. How did that affect your acting process?
00:06It really made the work a lot easier for us
00:10knowing where we'd come from and where we're going and what the plan is and having
00:16Kind of all those emotional beats like sort of play out in real time as well
00:22Makes it makes a real difference. So and of course when
00:26Someone dies is an alien film, right? So people people do die
00:30You you know, you are saying goodbye to a certain cast member and that is the kind of end of the road for them in
00:36The film so it is there is genuine genuine sadness when that sort of thing happens, which is great
00:40You know see in the performance then
00:43The trailer for the film is super intense. How intense was this shoot for you? It was very intense
00:49It was very very very intense. It was certainly one of those ones
00:53Where sort of towards the end it was kind of felt like a bit like a slug because it had been
00:58As the film kind of progresses
01:01It gets more and more intense
01:03Anyways, so you're you know, you're kind of in this heightened state of emotion for a long time, which is
01:09very very tiring
01:11But as soon as it wrapped then you're in that thing of like, oh that was amazing
01:14That was the best thing ever and I miss it
01:17But yeah, it was an amazing experience
01:20You shot the film then you were promoting it at comic-con and you're on the press tour for it now
01:24What has it been like stepping into the alien franchise?
01:27It's been great
01:30Comic-con was
01:32Yeah, really something we were on Hall H which I got told was a really big deal and there were
01:39Like six and a half thousand fans alien fans all they're like really excited and you know, they're really looking forward to the film
01:46But yeah, it does feel just amazing to be a part of this legacy now, you know these films
01:52first of all alien
01:551979 and now we're in 2024, you know, that's long before I was even born. I was born in 97
02:00So, you know these films mean a lot to my my parents my dad. My dad's a big fan of the film. So
02:07You know, it's very proud for him and all my family that we get to be a part of this legacy
02:11And how do you think this movie compares to the other alien films we've seen before I
02:15Think it's definitely like a love letter to
02:20alien and aliens
02:22There's there's definitely be some nostalgia in there for some fans of those original films
02:27You really do kind of get transported back
02:30To that sort of time even with the clothes and the way that the ships are built and the sort of design language there
02:36But it is its own its own kind of thing
02:38But it is its own its own kind of thing it's just it's a younger cast or on this kind of mission now
02:45So yeah, there's a few little surprises few jump scares. Yeah
