01:41For a faster journey, the Department of Transportation plans to connect trains in Metro Manila and other provinces through the Greater Capital Region Railway System.

01:58In October, the Department of Transportation opened Phase 1 of LRT-1 from Baclaran to Paranaque.

02:07That's why LRT-1 is suspended during their operation every weekend throughout the month of August as a preparation here.

02:14We're installing a signaling system in the Paranaque stations and then we will connect it to Line 1 signaling system.

02:26LRT-1 is one of four lines of trains in Metro Manila.

02:35But the DOTR has a plan to connect all projects of the trains like MRT-4, MRT-7, Metro Manila Subway and North-South Commuter Railway through the Greater Capital Region Railway System.

02:49For now, the connection of MRT-3 and LRT-1 can be done through a common station that will be the target for next year.

02:58That's the reason why we want to privatize the operations and maintenance of MRT-3.

03:05Once the two lines of MRT-3 and LRT-1 are connected, it will become a loop where the other lines of the government's trains will be connected,

03:15like the North-South Commuter Railway Project.

03:18The DOTR went to Clark, Pampanga where 82 percent of the facilities are complete.
