00:00Okay, ladies and gentlemen, Richmond. Not really a lot to talk about.
00:04Not. What an incredible race. I thought Austin Dillon
00:08drove one of the best races that I have ever seen him drive
00:12until those last few laps. That's a totally different story and a totally different race.
00:16But he had a great car. But let's go to the restart. We go to the
00:20restart and we've got the 3 car of Austin Dillon on the inside
00:24and oh! The 22 car of Joey Logano on the outside.
00:28Austin Dillon gets out-drove. He doesn't get out-run. He gets out-drove
00:32on the restart. The great race that he had driven up to that point
00:36threw it out the window because now you beat Austin Dillon. You've got to do something
00:40drastic. And we saw him do something drastic. He comes from 4 or 5
00:44car lengths back going into turn 3 on the final
00:48lap. He gets into Joey Logano and spins him. Don't whine, Joey Logano.
00:52We've seen you do it before. Denny Hamlin, he can't say much either.
00:56They've done the same thing. The thing that bothered me was coming off the corner
01:00and turning the 11 into the outside wall of Denny Hamlin. But
01:04as I looked at it and went back and replayed it, I think it's two guys fighting for
01:08the same position. Two different angles. And we know from geometry, when two
01:12lines intersect, we're going to have chaos. And that's what happened.
01:16If you're a new fan, you loved that finish. And when I say
01:20new fan, last 25 years. If you're an old fan, you're embarrassed of that
01:24finish. Because that's not what NASCAR was built on. That's not what
01:28NASCAR was. And I don't care you millennials and all you people out there.
01:32This is not the platform that my dad or Dale Earnhardt Sr. and those guys
01:36raced on. They didn't just wreck. They raced. This is all about
01:40wrecking in these last few laps. So, moving into the future,
01:44I guess it's no holds barred. Wild, Wild West. Anything goes.
01:48We'll see. Congratulations, Austin Dillon.
01:52Headed for the playoffs. First round, anyhow.
