00:07off to such a good start, but all of a sudden, teams have caught them, Carlin, in the standings.

00:16and Seattle, now both ahead of them in the standings.
00:20And as of right now, their total is 27 and a half.

00:33Listen, they're every bit as good as we thought at the beginning of the season.
00:36The problem is here is that they're all human.
00:38And you've seen this, you know, covering sports your whole life, Craig, like there is a mental
00:42sort of toughness that needs to happen with teams to do it year in, year out, and go through
00:47these championship runs.
00:48They've been in the finals the last two years, like they had to go through these grueling
00:54long seasons.
00:55The offseason, yes, while it's there, it's not long enough, right?
00:59It's not long enough to recover and to be there mentally sharp for an entire regular
01:03season and then go to another level once we get to the playoffs and an even higher level
01:08once we get to the finals, that is extremely tough.
01:11It's a lot of pressure, as we said off the top, like these, these, these women are human,
01:15right?
01:16Like they are human beings at the end of the day, at some point, there's going to be a
01:19dip in sort of the mental, you know, aspect of the game.
01:22And I think that's what happened.
01:23You know, they got caught in a couple of nights where they probably shouldn't have
01:25lost games because they didn't come up with that intensity.
01:28Second half of the season, we might see much of the same until we get to the playoffs,
01:32right?
01:33Because a lot of their players, Wilson, Kelsey Plum, they were already, you know, had one
01:38eye on the regular season, one eye on the Olympics, trying to win a medal.
01:41Now coming back to the team, going to be a little tougher to kind of figure things out.
01:45So I would say right around that win total, I would actually go under personally for that
01:50win total, but I wouldn't take away from what they could do down the stretch in an opportunity
01:54to win the championship.
01:56But the regular season to them at this point, where they are as a team, probably not as
02:00important as it would be to someone like Minnesota.
