00:00This young man right here is about to embark on a rite of passage many that
00:08finish full-time education are about to embark on, the music festival. Isn't that
00:13right boyo? Boy is it, I can't wait to go and meet a whole bunch of new people on
00:17a campsite, drink some alcohol potentially, and then check out a couple
00:22of bands that I told everybody I'm already aware of but now have to fake it
00:26to make it at the festival. And I trust all of your packing has been completed?
00:29What? Packing for the festival. Well I was just gonna get some playing cards and try
00:34and win everything in a game of poker or three-card Monty at the campsite. Oh come
00:39on that's beneath you. Let's pack her back together shall we?
00:43Will you be camping at the festival? Then perhaps first and foremost check that
00:47all of your camping gear is in one place, with the necessary guidelines and tent
00:52pegs to keep your belongings in one place and not blow away. For many music
00:56festivals they will allow you to bring a hammer for setting up your tent and a
00:59number of other items such as cutlery, pots and pans, but will only allow you to
01:04have them on the campsite. However objects that could be considered a
01:07weapon are prohibited. What pray tell are you doing with all of those bottles of
01:14alcohol? I thought I would bring some alcohol with me, you know, a fair amount of
01:20alcohol. I heard that people like to drink alcohol, maybe I'll make some money
01:24on the side selling it to people that might have forgotten. You can only bring
01:28enough for personal consumption, so maybe put some of those bottles away, correct?
01:33Attaboy. All right, all right, I'll put it back. Nobody really wants to be that
01:39blessed at a festival, bear that in mind will you? Ensure that your sleeping bag
01:44is stuffed into its sack, that it's clean and warm and that it can be easily
01:48carried around with you with your backpack of festival items. As for what
01:52to pack in your bag, experts who have been to numerous festivals advised the
01:56following items. Warm clothing, nobody wants to catch day of death at a
02:00festival with a cold, better take a light rain jacket. Plastic ponchos may be
02:05for sale, but do your bit for the environment. You should also bring a
02:08spare pair of shoes in the event of muddy conditions alongside spare
02:12clothing, but think light. Remember, you need to pack all these items to bring
02:17home with you at the end of your festival experience. I have decided to
02:22leave my suspenders and my pair of knickerbockers at home, as I do not think
02:26I will need them on the campsite. That sounds like an excellent call. Now, what
02:32else were you planning on taking with you? Well, it would be foolhardy for me
02:37not to bring a form of identification with me, my keys, my cash card for
02:41contactless purchases, a toothbrush, I was going to bring the medications that I
02:47need, some legal highs. Come again? Legal highs, I got them from a guy at the
02:51petrol station. No, no, no, even if they're considered legal highs, all forms of
02:57drugs including laughing gas have been banned at festivals, so put it down, put
03:02it down. But you are quite right, bring with you a form of identification, of
03:09course your festival ticket, you might want to bring with you your contactless
03:13cash card or some petty cash, just in case of network congestion, a phone
03:17charger and maybe a power bank as well. But mind you, a lot of the festivals
03:22themselves do happen to have charging stations, so inquire within. Wow, watching
03:29a gig through a viewfinder, I'm still having problems dealing with talkies
03:33mister, and I am gonna bring some toilet paper because I am a three-ply kind of
03:40person. Well done, and that's pretty much everything that you need, so from all of
03:45us here, have a great festival. Say goodbye Jimmy. My name is Benji.
