Transcript
00:00Welcome back to another exciting episode.
00:22Today we are back at Knoebels Park, which is the oldest free admission amusement park
00:32in all of America.
00:35So come along with us as we focus on all the fantastic free displays and museums at this
00:44wonderful theme park.
00:47Starting off just outside the Knoebels History Museum is a wonderful static display depicting
00:54the history of anthracite mining in the area and is a wonderful warm up of even better
01:03things to come.
01:05Just you wait.
01:17Entering inside the Knoebels History Museum, you go past the wonderful gift shop, which
01:25by the way stop in there, there is some really good stuff there as well.
01:29You walk into the Anthracite Coal Museum.
01:37Now this museum is not as intricate as the Pennsylvania Anthracite Museum, which I have
01:44a video on that as well, but it does a pretty darn good job.
01:55We all enjoyed the information and we really enjoyed the dinosaurs, wow.
02:07Don't forget to go to the very back of the building where you have the Knoebels History
02:12Museum.
02:14Now this information, I did put a lot of this in my last video, so go take a look at that,
02:21but there is so much more that's in this museum as well.
02:27So check it out, give yourself some time to read the board, you'll be happy that you did.
02:41Oh and don't forget to stop by and listen to the piano.
02:58Taking a stroll next to the explosive rail car and going around the corner, you will
03:05see the enclosure of the very handsy Henry and beautiful Hattie.
03:12They're on exhibit here with permission from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service because
03:18their injuries make them unable to survive in the wild, so they're permanent residents
03:25of the Knoebels Amusement Park.
03:29Across from the classic food wagon, you will see Knoebels Carousel Museum.
03:36This I think was our family's favorite museum.
03:40This is a nice air-conditioned area, especially on nice hot summer days, where you first see
03:48a lot of small trinkets, memorabilia, a little gift shop, and then you turn the corner and
03:56wow!
03:58That is where you see the good stuff.
04:00The Knoebels Carousel Museum houses retired carousel animals including a regal lion, prancing
04:10ostrich, and a faux carousel.
04:14Now many of the original Wolflinger panels are also displayed here and so much more.
04:23Get a load of this!
04:25Oh my goodness!
