00:00Bianca Pagdanganan finished in 4th place in the Paris Olympics Golf Finals,
00:05the highest ranking of a Filipino golfer in the Olympics.
00:09Pagdanganan finished 13th after 3 rounds of golf,
00:13but she was able to catch up in the last round to finish in 282 total,
00:17just one stroke lower than the bronze medalist from China.
00:21This is a big leap from her 43rd place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
00:26Dottie Ardina finished in 13th place.
00:29Two Filipino golfers missed out on their great performance
00:33due to an issue with their uniforms.
00:36Neither of them wore official uniforms.
00:39They just taped the Philippine flag patch on their uniforms
00:42according to Dottie's viral online video.

01:13The National Golf Association of the Philippines, or NGAP,
01:17and the Philippine Olympic Committee explained
01:19that there was a missing uniform for the golfers from the sponsor.
01:22Some of the items arrived in Paris,
01:24but there was no competition gear.
01:26The sponsor told the NGAP
01:28that the golfers' uniforms were tied to the logistics provider,
01:31so the apparel sponsor bought them clothes in Paris.
01:35However, this doesn't have a Philippine flag or a country code.
01:39The sponsor found a way to do this.
01:41But when it comes to uniforms, only one fits Ardina.
01:44The sponsor was supposed to buy them again,
01:46but Ardina decided to buy their own clothes.
01:50The Senate Committee on Sports
01:52will conduct a review and post-evaluation of the Olympic Games
01:55to avoid such incidents
01:58and to support the Philippine athletes in the upcoming competitions.
02:02The committee chairman, Senator Bong Go, said
02:05that he feels bad for the athletes.
02:07He doesn't expect this,
02:09especially since there's an additional 30 million pesos in the fund
02:12for the preparation of the Paris Olympic Delegates.
02:15Aside from this,
02:16there's a total of half a million financial support for each athlete
02:19from the Philippine Sports Commission.
