00:00being made by Steven Naismith to start this second half and boys are needed
00:06after that stoppage time when Hearts really lost the plot slightly and find
00:14themselves in a really difficult situation in this game. Coming on
00:20Yutaro Oda, Malakai Boateng and Jan Danda all coming into the action
00:36No desperate measures for Steven Naismith, side three down at the break
00:43Dundee will come out with the same 11 that started the game no need to change
00:48things for them but for Hearts things have to get better from here
01:00just get the confirmation of the three changes as Jan Danda, Yutaro Oda and Malakai Boateng
01:25get ready to come on it's not the return to Dundee that's Malakai Boateng
01:32would have been hoping for he was on loan from Crystal Palace last season
01:38here now a Hearts player
01:47Dundee chiefs will be absolutely delighted managing director John Nelms
01:53and chairman Tim Keyes
02:00so going off for Hearts George Grant, Barry Mackay and Daniel Oyegoke
02:10Luke McCowan leads his side back out for the second half
02:19the scorer of the third goal Scott Tiffany with the first
02:25an own goal from Gerald Taylor the second and then McCowan's penalty putting
02:34Dundee in a commanding position at the break but Hearts will throw everything
02:41at this Jan Dundee started last week Boateng came off the bench Oda only got
02:51the final five minutes but the Japanese player did get the winner at Tyne Castle
02:58between these two sides in January an 86th minute winner there's a couple of
03:073-2 games between these two last season Dundee well Hearts have actually managed
03:13to score three in the last three games but it's Dundee who have done it in a
03:17first half here at the Scottholme Stadium
03:25as McCowan helps it forward Murray trying to make a nuisance of himself
03:31Portales helps it forward Boateng who knows the opposition so well and rolls
03:39to McGee and Silla Boateng again now Shankland lays it off for Danda
03:49Vargas who's playing in a wider position Danda picks up again he's a great
03:57technician Jan Danda is he the man to get Hearts back into this Shankland lays
04:04it back to Vargas who couldn't get any purchase on the shot but Dundee can't
04:09get out and it's tipped over by McCracken from Penrice's effort took a
04:14deflection on its way and that one was dipping
04:17well you see McCracken there a wee sigh of relief it's right above him you
04:23expect I made the save but bright start from Hearts had to do something but
04:30Ingram not able to clear his lines and it just forced extra pressure on them
04:37that's beginning to develop some pressure at Shanklin's effort and he
04:42just needs half a chance Dundee though managed to block this one off Devlin
04:47helps it forward looking for Oda Larkesh got there first and now looks
04:53to find Tiffany Taylor up to Oda now Boateng how do you envisage those
05:05changes making an impact in this game Michael well it's going to be a lot more
05:09like-for-like you know it's a back four that's in place obviously I was talking
05:14about the surprise that the changes were made the system was changed but look
05:19Steven Smith he likes to do it he's spoken about it you know before how you
05:24know last season he only played the same starting 11 once seeing that as a
05:29positive and he regularly changes systems I think he sees it as horses for
05:36courses to a certain extent but there was a complete lack of fluidity to the
05:41performance they didn't look comfortable and over the piece my
05:44concern I said it before the game for me with horses there isn't a great deal of
05:48pace in the side so irrespective of what system you're playing especially away
05:53from home you're lacking in that ability to be able to break on the opposition
05:58Larkesh sliding in on Oda the home crowd like that one against Dundee in a
06:03forward position again Palmer holding with the ball across I just do get it
06:10out to Kenneth Vargas so and then my other concern for hearts is just in the
06:15middle of the park I don't think they've got enough in there they didn't have
06:18enough bodies in there and they didn't have enough quality now both things come
06:22on he's been brought into the club and time will tell whether he's going to be
06:26able to solve some of the problems that they've got in there but certainly when
06:32you look at that midfield three from Dundee great balance and they're
06:36effective and they'll be end product for hearts you can't see the same
06:46here is Cameron
06:52certainly Stephen Naismith has bolstered his squad knowing that they will be going
06:58into European group stage competition be it with the eight games in the Europa
07:03League or the six group stage games in the Europa Conference League that they
07:07were in two years ago Danda Silla closes the door on him there's that balance
07:16again you see Cameron he's quick to try and shut Danda down it was almost a nice
07:20little take from Danda he gets a flick on it still is there to mop up again
07:24they have that balance they've got a good understanding of what each other
07:28does just a high boot from Shanklin does McGee went for the header I don't
07:38think Shanklin catches him but you can see nowadays that sort of things always
07:43going to get pulled up as a free kick you know just to take a step forward
07:47that hearts midfield this is not being something that's just come around
07:51recently you know for George Grant's in his third season at the the club and
07:56looking at that midfield I'm not 100% sure what type of midfielder George Grant
08:01is and Cami Devlin has got lots of energy but he loses his positional sense
08:07a lot he's dragged about Barry McKay just flits through the game far too
08:14often so it's no great surprise that they were overrun apologies for any bad
08:19language that was picked up on our microphones
08:44Mohammed Silla thought there was the use of an arm I think there was I think he's
08:49quite fortunate to get away with that
08:52brushes off pen rice Murray in the middle the current coming in so to his
08:58Lyle Cameron and it just gets better and better for a devastatingly good Dundee
09:07on the opening home game of the season
09:13for now Dundee leads against hearts who had such a good season last time around
09:22but they are sinking without trace in the city of discovery this evening well
09:30all the house players are a around Don Robertson just suggesting that it is a
09:35handball it will be looked at but if it's not given then it really does say
09:41put to bed any recovery from harsh but here in the middle of the park
09:44Sillaway's left hand I think that is a pet not really sorry I think that is a
09:49free kick but look at this here from pen rice it's not strong enough it's too
09:54easy and then look at the run Cameron gets on voting too easy you see here
10:01yep I think he knows what's happening there
10:07well Don Robertson has been called to the VAR screen and could this be a
10:15reprieve for hearts potentially a way back in for the Edinburgh side I'd be
10:25very surprised if this isn't given as a handball I mean look it's just more
10:32dominant play from Dundee as well he wins the ball
10:43well the free kick is given it is a handball as much as the home crowd
10:49started cheering there it is 3-0 the fourth goal does not count yeah but you
10:55know when you look at the play just in general terms Silla again getting to the
11:01ball first you see Palmer Holden being stronger than pen rice Cameron getting
11:07the run on voting yes the goal is not counting but the pattern of play is very
11:11similar to what we saw in the first
11:17will that decision give marks a much much needed boost
11:22Jan Danda stands over the free kick header from Kent some chasing to be done
11:29for Vargas but the flag in any case is off
11:59a big moment in the game this from the obviously still sitting comfortably but
12:07that's use of the arm from Mohammed Silla enough to rule out number four
12:12for Dundee for now at least
12:19Larkesh with the header now voting to Gerald Taylor and sliding in was Larkesh
12:28a foul from the French Algerian left back there's a free kick there's no doubt
12:35about it it's gonna be a yellow card as well
12:42and I think that was more for the reaction from Ziyad Larkesh you see here
12:48Gerald Taylor knocks it away Larkesh doesn't get the ball it's plenty of the
12:53player but I think you're right the yellow card gets brandished for a some
12:59sort of descent not totally sure what it was that he did or said but don't think
13:06that yellow card was for the challenge
13:10Danda clips it in towards Kent again as Shanklin's much like a similar effort
13:18in the first half that one drifts well over the top this is the reasoning for
13:25the yellow card for Larkesh for the descent towards Don Robertson
13:35lots of hand movements in there finger pointing got himself in the book for it
13:48you know last season for Hearts the biggest
13:57I'm just gonna say the biggest accolade if you give them and the compliment was
14:03that they found ways of winning the games of football and they had a great
14:08knack at vital moments particularly the likes of Laurence Shatton come up with
14:11big moments but it's not that I watched a lot of the games and and you could see
14:17patterns of play because they were constantly changing as Steven Naismith
14:22spoken about but they found a rhythm of winning games of football which is a
14:26great trait to have with the worry therefore be that if Laurence Shanklin
14:31wasn't there or if Laurence Shanklin has an average season and say scores 15
14:36goals rather than 31 are our hearts that far enough in other areas that their
14:44best team in Scotland I mean they're by no means a one-man band because they
14:50have the quality elsewhere but I'm not totally sure what their their way of
14:56playing is and when you take any team if you were to take somebody that scores so
15:02many goals and and limit that number of course it's going to have an impact I'm
15:07just still trying to figure out what hearts are as a style of team are they a
15:14team that gets into wide areas and has that pace to go and penetrate no because
15:18they don't have a great deal of pace over the top it goes and Jan Danda has
15:26his head in his hands but you see the likes of Danda who's coming this is a
15:34guy who's got good quality good quality so are they going to develop a style of
15:39play that's able to get these players on the ball in areas of the park where they
15:43can hurt the opposition clips the top of the bar from Jan Danda so it still
15:51feels like to that extent that there's a work in progress here but hearts have
15:57got quality in the team I just don't think there's like enough balance at
16:02this moment and Dundee have ruthlessly exposed weaknesses in that side here
16:07today with the great balance that Tony Docherty's team have got they're a well
16:12oiled machine they know what they're doing and they've recruited well
16:18they've got Simon Murray at the top end of the park that knows his way to the
16:21back of the net Palmer Holden's so far looking like he's got energy and power
16:28Murray's done well to help that on to Lyle Cameron who was the man denied that
16:34fourth goal in his second of the game by the handball in the middle of the pitch
16:41Portales who's almost caught there by Vargas
16:51Dundee survived that worry here's Boateng
16:56Larkesh
17:00Ingram good feet from Silla finds Tiffany coming back is Devlin
17:08Gerald Taylor now not the favorite with the home fans hold up then Taylor will
17:17continue his run but he won't catch that
17:22that man in your picture had such a standout performance last week against
17:27Rangers this week it's been very different
17:34perhaps fortunate not to see a red card and many scores an own goal it's not
17:41been able to get into the game in any real manner and have the impact that he
17:47did last week Murray taken down calmly by Kent
18:02Ingram will break for Vargas sliding in as Silla
18:07Harts will have the free kick this time
18:18Silla here just pulling down Vargas gets a little touch on the ball but you can
18:24see quite clearly there he's left leg comes up and fills that the hearts
18:29forward
18:40Danda who could be a real magician with these set plays and it comes from a
18:51substitute only as far as Murray now Lallachai Boateng clipped in and a free
18:56header and hearts find their way back into the game through Frankie Kent it
19:05has been better in this second half from Artemid Lothian and now they have a way
19:10back in well it's clearly a lot better now as well winning the second ball
19:16able to circulate again Frankie Kent good header it's a lovely ball from
19:24Boateng Kent getting the wrong side of McEwan and he's able to just guide it
19:30into the corner McCracken can't get a strong enough wrist on it to stop it
19:36and it gives hearts a lifeline you're right it's been better it's not been
19:41scintillating but it has been better they've been able to stem the flow just
19:48a slight delay in the offside check on Frankie Kent from a delightful ball it
19:53has to be said from Malachi Boateng he's on site there's no question he's on
19:58site
20:01I looked pretty clear from that angle but David Dickinson and Daniel McFarlane
20:19continue to have a look Frankie Kent he'd only scored once previously for
20:25Hearts in a Scottish Cup tie the way it's Spartans
20:42and unsurprisingly the goal confirmed so hearts with a lifeline yeah and as much
20:52as we're talking about it's not been scintillating it has been better they've
20:55stopped to a great extent the wave after wave of attack that Dundee had in the
21:01first half and you can see there on side
21:11just to confirm with the lines there and then they get a goal which will just
21:17help to feel better about themselves as well and feel like there could be
21:23something to get from this game as unbelievable as that is well as the
21:28counter reaction as well the doubt that it may be puts in the minds of Dundee
21:34and Tony Doherty certainly the next day the next little phase of play is going
21:40to be important for Dundee to see how they react to show that they're composed
21:45enough and calm enough to just sell things down and work their way back into
21:50it because inevitably you're going to see or you would imagine a continuation
21:55of pressure from hearts here their tails are up they've got a goal they've got
22:00nothing to lose hearts Tony Doherty's men need to show a little bit of
22:06character here just to weather the storm well there were a couple of 3-2 games
22:10last season between these pair in January and February Dundee led 2-0
22:17here before the late goal from Yutaro Oda that won it they also led 1-0 and 2-1
22:29two late goals sorry like in those games of both cases when they lost 3-2
22:33they were in the space of a few weeks as well if I remember correctly that the
22:37end of January start of February it was like a late goal here that won it and
22:41then likewise at Tyne Castle another late goal from hearts and that's what
22:46was the same before finding ways to win games they were always at it which is a
22:51great trait to have certainly big questions being posed of it the Tyne
23:00Castle men here Dens halftime 3-0 down Dundee looking unstoppable in the first
23:08half but 3-1 can hearts make a fist of it
23:14there's Ingram with the ball in Boateng and Cameron strikes it met it well good
23:20connection but just flying over the top of the crossbar yeah just cuts under it a
23:29little bit it's a lovely strike but just taking a little bit of pace out of
23:35it and making sure that it was always drifting over the crossbar Penrice but
23:41it's read by Ingram
23:49it was my mistake it was Oda got the winner at Tyne Castle and it was the
23:54game here that Shanklin's two late goals a 79th minute penalty and then an
24:0087th minute winner took the points
24:04like s Tiffany Murray waits in the middle
24:15you know you look at that front lane from Dundee there's lots of pace and
24:20energy in there Tiffany making the running behind money trying to get on
24:24the end of it Cammy Devlin getting back in and making a vital block clearing the
24:29lines
24:32Larkesh McCowan Tiffany Murray and the move again
24:39Larkesh arriving it's Malakai Boateng now he has made an impact in the middle
24:46of the park for hearts and assists and he's just given him a presence in there
24:57Palmer Holden can't quite keep that in play
25:16bit of space for Danda Vargas still up an important touch and also that it
25:25dropped for Ingram to clear it's now hearts who have the momentum yeah
25:32they're forcing Dundee onto the back foot a little bit and there's been a
25:35couple of occasions probably more than a couple occasions where they've just been
25:38slashing at clearances lacking a little bit of composure when they're doing that
25:44enables hearts to build momentum and get another attack off the back of one
25:50very important without first pass in particular like they are with Ingram
25:54he's got to find these man turnover hearts can then build another attack
25:58they've been a little bit slack Dundee just Taylor with space to try and pick
26:05out a teammate parts have to settle for the corner well I mean defensively Dundee
26:12looking at and I'm thinking about John McGee's just looking at Taylor as he's
26:17drifting into that area there can't just stand and watch he's got to go and stop
26:23and commit be communicating with others as well
26:30Danda takes a bit of a scramble a few appeals Vargas was at the heart of it
26:37Danda again Oda just couldn't quite get the flick and McCracken had to be ready
26:43to react and did
26:52well Larkesh is down so we'll bring the delay
27:01oh he's got cramp
27:04lovely ball from Danda
27:18but more danger and the feeling that Dundee are rocking slightly change
27:26coming a fourth change of the game for hearts and there's Blair Spittle who's
27:32coming on to replace Kami Devlin
27:39Spittle who arrives having scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists last
27:46season for Motherwell
27:54and Tony Doughty will look to now react to the change
28:02I'll tell you what McCracken coming up with a big save there I mean he could
28:12easily have been put off by Oda just drifting in in front of him could have
28:17ended up falling at the back of the net or landing at somebody else to knock it
28:23in
28:32that's Billy Cometio man signed yesterday from Liverpool on a two-year
28:39deal and he's going to be thrust into a debut in a game where Dundee were
28:49sitting comfortably but now coming under some pretty serious pressure
28:56and Ziyad Larkesh will be unable to continue here
29:14there's Cometio
29:18Stretcher is out for Larkesh
29:32Cometio who came through the youth system at Lyon before going to Orly on
29:37and then signed by Liverpool in 2018 made his debut in the Champions League
29:43at the time he was Liverpool's youngest player when he came on against Salzburg
29:47but I think possibly sold on the move to Dundee with a helping hand from Owen Beck
29:52who was on loan for the first six months of last season what an impact as a
29:56left-back he made at this club
30:01Larkesh getting stretched off and looked like it was cramped to begin with I do
30:05wonder now hopefully it's nothing too serious
30:17we wish Ziyad Larkesh the best that was hopefully not a long-term injury
30:29Cometio to come on for his debut
30:35had recent loans at Austria Vienna Dunkirk and Blackburn Rovers 21 year old
30:42Frenchman he comes with a stature six foot five and he'll put himself at the
30:48heart of that defense it looks like Jordan McGee has gone to left-back
30:57Ingram gets the touch but it does go out for a corner kick to Hartz
31:03Ingram I'm not too sure whether there was enough
31:08communication between them it gives Danda an opportunity fling another one
31:12in and we know what his delivery is like very dangerous it really whips this
31:19right boot around the ball the Kraken got a good firm fist on that up goes
31:28Portales rolls just rising over the top from the Australian well that really
31:38would have been game on if Cali rolls centre-half pings one in the top corner
31:43but again look it's better from hearts they're actually competing for balls
31:47means so so often in the first half they never won a second ball in that
31:51occasion it drops the rolls and has the strike good contact but just off target
32:00we certainly are making a game of it I hope there weren't any behind John
32:13McCracken's goal that decided enough was enough and they may have departed
32:19before that fourth goal for Dundee was chalked off
32:25Liam Boyce is being ready to come on for Steven Naismith's side
32:36there's a situation where Dundee can't seem to get up the park nothing's
32:41sticking Vargas loses out Palmer Holden driving into the center of the park
32:50he's got Tiffany away Palmer Holden needs to release Tiffany well that could
32:57have killed off hearts they would have released all the anxiety great driving
33:04run by said Palmer Holden that Tiffany couldn't supply the finish was there no
33:09just that is absolutely brilliant play from Palmer Holden and then he has the
33:13wherewithal and the vision just see that his teammate is there he lays it on a
33:20plate for Tiffany and he just doesn't get his foot round it you can look at
33:24the ground as much as he wants but there was no bubble
33:29well Liam Boyce replaces Kenneth Vargas first appearance of the season for the
33:38Northern Irishman
33:41Oh
33:49quarter of an hour to go
33:55Tiffany McGee and McCarron
34:11Taylor gets there first looks for Oda now McCarron and Tiffany momentarily in
34:20behind Taylor who gets back McCarron couldn't quite get it past Boateng
34:29Demetio come under pressure from Boyce but remains calm finds Szilard gets it
34:37back
34:41Penrice
35:04comes off Ingram
35:08actually won 10 away games in the Premiership last season no draws
35:17incidentally 30 of their points coming on the road
35:28Shankland and Demetio knocks it out for another hearts corners they look to
35:34crank up the pressure again well again it just seems like another moment we're
35:41Dundee just switching off not communicating enough and it gives
35:44Dander another chance to fling one in Dander's corner and Kent's knocks it
35:51over the top Frankie Kent was get highs on a double he ends up getting a free
35:58kick given against them here I mean I'm really not sure what is giving it can't
36:07be against Frankie Kent I'm no idea why there was a free kick given there
36:13because I don't see any but it's a doesn't matter because he's stuck it
36:18over the crossbar but Tim you don't want to be given too many chances to Yan
36:21Danda to be throwing balls into the box especially in swingers over in that far
36:26side you know the challenge for Dundee is here they're in a comfortable
36:31position but you don't want to try and slow the game down because hearts are
36:35right after them they've got to actually up the tempo and try and match them and
36:41so they try and match hearts intensity at the moment I was just saying one man
36:46that'll give you that is Simon Murray yeah he doesn't hold back
36:52no he really doesn't and that's the thing that Tony Docherty's side have got
36:58we saw just before with Palmer holding driving forward giving that energy and
37:03when your side is just on edge like that it can make such a difference driving
37:10the team forward getting them up into the opposition's half he laid on a plate
37:13for Tiffany yes he missed the chance but still it's able to change the momentum
37:19Ingram's attempted ball in will just be a corner he was hoping for a free kick
37:24for the handball that blocked it off
37:33okay I could easily have been given as a free kick because it looked like
37:37Penrice's arms were out there and they blocked it sure if it was hearts would
37:45have instantly turned to last week and not getting the penalty against Rangers
37:49but I think we've discussed that and cleared up the right decision was made
37:55as Shankland's knocks it clear to the edge of the area and then help forward
38:00and Oda will chase this very awkward for McCracken coming back is Ingram well
38:07it's skipped off the surface and McCracken misjudged it I think he's
38:13maybe suggesting the Sun caught him slightly as well the low Sun I think
38:18you're right Rory it looks like it just skates off the surface very quick and it
38:25did almost catch him out there's relieved to see Ethan Ingram back there
38:30the corner comes in Simon Murray will ask Yan Danda his old teammate to have
38:35another go well the corner kicks are very much taught enough for it for
38:44hearts and what they've done a lot better as the delivery is good but
38:51they've also been getting those second balls whenever anyone's been dropping
38:54around the edge of the box they've maintained the pressure on Dundee not
38:59made it easy for the home side to be able to get out
39:05Danda with the out swinger it's Cameron that just helps it on its way
39:19into the final ten minutes I suspect there'll be a fair chunk of additional time
39:27Gerald Taylor across to take this throw in his hearts keep men forward like
39:35Frankie Kent it is flicked on it's older and the header it's straight at
39:41McCracken he's unmarked from point-blank range he's got a score already simple as
39:48that you see drifts off the back of Simon Murray that is a setup it really
39:54is he sees it coming all the way and he heads it right at the goalkeeper what a
40:01chance that is to set up a grandstand finish in the last ten minutes or so
40:07you tell older he's passed it up big time but it's a man your picture
40:16Taylor with a long throat saw it last week as well it's such a weapon and it
40:22almost paid off what an opportunity for Rhoda it anywhere but there I think was
40:33there the thing to do McCracken must have been hugely relieved don't think
40:39he was alone
40:41Tim you know the situation hearts find himself and you can't pass up
40:47opportunities like that you've got any ambition or hope of getting something
40:51at the game that needs to go in the back of the net
40:58here's Danda looking to help it through to Oda who will chase and beat McGee but
41:04he recovered really well to make the challenge and make life awkward for the
41:08Japanese striker yeah just enough pressure to make sure that wasn't able
41:15to get a clean strike away or they're getting in behind them just chokes the
41:20shot I think he was suggesting it was a corner didn't look like it it's not been
41:29given
41:32Dundee continue to weather the heartstorm they haven't won their opening
41:38home game in the top flight since 2001 when they defeated hibernian
41:49Gerald Taylor well read and well matched by Scott Tiffany yeah up the line
41:57just to say great work ethic isn't it besides under a bit of pressure there's
42:03a bit of space for Gerald Taylor to go bombing forward and Tiffany busts a gut
42:08to get across Shanklin's gonna chase that but you can't catch up with it
42:20the frustration for hearts number nine on show
42:27it's been a frustrating night all around for hearts they're still not
42:42finished though five and a half minutes to go plus stoppage time and from what
42:50we've seen hearts could have made this a lot more nervy they may still yet yeah
42:55they could have they could have but you just can't help but feel that that
43:01opportunity that orders passed up is is a gonna prove pivotal
43:09Oh
43:19I put that claim from Shanklin
43:39Oh
43:57it's Tiffany gets there ahead of Taylor to look to spark the hearts revival
44:08they need more danda
44:14spittle
44:25their spittle porting and dandas plenty of creativity in this hearts team right
44:33now with spittle and danda
44:40rolls their spittle again porting Dundee's sitting deep they've got a
44:49position to protect Taylor danda comes off McCowan Cameron looks to his skipper
45:01now Taylor away from Cameron comes off McGee hearts just can't get a telling
45:10ball into that box for all that possession Dundee camping in their area
45:15and absorb the pressure it's more good play from Scott Tiffany what great desire
45:27want to make sure that you say pick up the three points here
45:32Oh
45:54spittle forward McGee helps it back porting on to Kent who's been robbed by
46:01Murray and Sander Clark had to be alert quickly off his line Murray never ever
46:09stops it's not a moment's peace for the hearts center backs will be at the
46:14Dundee haven't had much of this second half it's all about whether hearts could
46:19find their way back in at the moment they're gonna run out of time two
46:25minutes of normal play left hold up you had the big chance to get it to three
46:33to hold up closed out by McGee
46:46Dundee are wanting to get Curtis main onto the pitch
46:55I've got some defending to do first though Gerald Taylor swinging a miss by
47:05meteo but he does manage to get the clearance away and Michael a chance to
47:12name your William Hill player of the match yeah I mean look the first half
47:17performance on Dundee was a standout midfield in particular could have been
47:20any one of them I'm gonna go for Scott Tiffany keep up with a vital goal for
47:27his every side and he's working it right through the game has been exemplary
47:31he's by a William Hill man of the match wrote it so Simon Murray to a standing
47:41ovation we'll take the short routes off
47:47and Curtis main comes on signed in January after some playing time in India
47:55but well known for his spells with mother well Aberdeen Samaritan it's
48:04already been amongst the goals this season as well hat-trick against body
48:08regrows in the opening match of the season Ingram clear to halfway Kent for
48:17voting Taylor and out comes McCracken as we're now into the first of seven
48:28additional minutes
48:32and Ingram took a bump to the head there
48:38I think you should be fine
48:43don't think it was a serious collision just got to make sure you don't want to
48:49run any risks
49:00well Dundee didn't have their issues to seek last season with their pitch here
49:05at Dend been relayed over the summer new groundsman and they could get used
49:09to this one there was a delay from the council as they're looking to start
49:19building on a new stadium but planning permission awaits that decision
49:26Clark manages to save the corner and it's getting rather desperate for hearts
49:33the minutes ticking away committee oh goes up and it will be another hearts
49:40corner they've had plenty of those in this second half
49:45plenty desire from committee or go and get the ball but just the current theme
49:52which is communication in the back link from Dundee he comes way across from the
49:58left to go and challenge for it Danda whips it in almost came to spittle but
50:06that was a really important touch by Cameron and Tiffany hauled down by
50:10Penrice Cameron will pick up Penrice will certainly be getting booked when
50:16this comes back Lawrence Shanklin might as well
50:20Don Robertson has a bit to deal with here Shanklin goes in the book and I
50:26suspect James Penrice will as well both challenges rather cynical I don't think
50:35there was any doubt about either of those yellow cards Penrice first of all
50:42try to hang on to the jersey of Scott Tiffany in the end he couldn't
50:48Tiffany's bounces back up you can see there
50:57Cameron getting wiped out from Lawrence Shanklin I did wonder if a camera was
51:02just going to think the ball to the back post Curtis main was bombing through
51:08at this stage 3-1 up you don't need to force anything they just go to see
51:14things out
51:19McCowan will look to Tiffany no touch from Taylor
51:29towards Shanklin that won't drop for Boyce but will come to Kent who forces
51:34that through spittle really clever touch for Penrice in the 94th minute
51:45porting there will be another heart's free kick
51:52this stage it just feels like it's a little bit too late for Steven Nesbitt
51:59meant to get something it's been better in the second half yes but gave
52:06themselves an absolute moment to claim
52:11their spittles free kick towards the back post
52:15committee Oh knocks it out for another corner
52:24well Hawks gave them gave themselves quite the mountain to climb remember it
52:30was only one nil going into stoppage time at the end of the first half an
52:36own goal and a penalty hearts really lost the plot for a few
52:42minutes it's Danda back in McCracken holds on takes the contact and that
52:49might just be enough for Dundee to see on and maybe enjoy these last few
52:55minutes again yeah just feels like the pressure's being relieved the crack and
53:04holding on to the ball a little bit of time being a senior here major
53:12disappointment for Stevie Nesbitt inside Greg Gordon in the background not
53:18particularly happy either it's looking on as the side of it being defeated here
53:28at Den's Park and as I was saying the second half has been better but their
53:31second half performance is nowhere near as good as Dundee's
53:36first half performance so I don't think anybody can complain with the scoreline
53:41and the result Dundee thoroughly deserve victors here
53:48Palmer Holden finds Curtis Main and just able to take the sting out of any hopes
53:57that Hawks had of a dramatic late comeback it won't be happening Dundee
54:03will be seeing this one out Finlay Robertson will come on for the final
54:10moments as Scott Tiffany who got it all started makes way it feels like a long
54:15long time ago that he opened the scoring
54:22Finlay Robertson comes on the 21 year old
54:31one minute left to play but what an impact Scott Tiffany has made after
54:36finding himself out of the team of late
54:46both sides in Premier Sports Cup action next week
54:54the Adrianians for Dundee a trip to Falkirk for part of Midlothian before
55:00their European adventures commence
55:06will either be heading to play Creevy-Ree or Victoria Pilsen
55:15but that will be far from their minds right now for Dundee an evening to
55:24celebrate what is a major victory for them
55:32the fifth of the campaign in six games
55:36Oduk trying to have a positive finish to the game for Hearts
55:47stand up and Taylor meet one two with Spittle
55:53Taylor's ball in McCracken holds big cheer goes up around the Scott Foam
55:58stadium
56:07it's a victory so well earned by Dundee and Tony Docherty beating hearts in
56:15August as they did last season and Dundee this evening go top of the
56:25William Hill SPFL Premiership and it was a first half where they blitzed
56:32hearts Scott Tiffany got them up and running but then as the game went into
56:38stoppage time Gerald Taylor scored a known goal before Luke McCowan tucked
56:46away a penalty kick hearts threatened to rally in the second half through a header
56:51from Frankie Kent but they give themselves way too much to do it's been
56:56Dundee's evening back at Dens Park for the first time in three months an
57:04unbeaten start to the season continues it extends to six games and boy have
57:12they enjoyed this one the full-time score Dundee three Harteman Lothian one
57:20you
57:30you
