00:00I think the track and field action in Paris was everything we hoped for and more.
00:07Can you give me your three standout moments from the competition?
00:12Okay, so my three standout moments from this competition.
00:15One would be men's 100 meters.
00:18I mean, five thousandths of a second separating first and second.
00:22Men's 400 meters, Quincy Hall coming down the homestretch,
00:26just leaving it to the very last minute to pull out a victory
00:30and snatch that from Matthew Hudson-Smith was amazing.
00:33Third would be Sydney McLaughlin-Lebron.
00:36Amazing setup to that race.
00:38Maybe this was the time that Femke could beat her.
00:41Not to be, not even close.
00:43Just made Sydney go out and break another world record
00:45and give us a thrilling performance.
00:49I want to talk about the women's 1500 meters.
00:52Who is Faith Kipiagun?
00:54Faith Kipiagun is probably one of the greatest middle distance runners ever.
00:59She is Olympic champion 1500 meters, Olympic champion 5000 meters.
01:04She's the world record holder at 1500 meters.
01:07She's just an awesome, awesome individual.
01:11Can you give us a little bit of context for how fast she's run?
01:14349.04. I mean, that's just, that's crazy.
01:18And she just did that this year.
01:20How do you beat her?
01:22I think Faith is one of those athletes where the competitors have to just let her go.
01:28Your strategy going into this shouldn't be thinking about,
01:31well, how do I beat Faith Kipiagun?
01:33Because you can literally run yourself out of medals
01:36trying to keep up with and trying to run with Faith.
01:39She's on a whole other level.
01:41How can new fans of track and field stay connected to the sport?
01:45Yeah, you know, typically when the Olympics are over,
01:47you know, it's sort of over for track and field for another four years.
01:51That's why I'm so excited about what we're doing with Grand Slam Track.
01:54Those people who got interested in track here,
01:56are only watched during the Olympics now,
01:58can find this same sort of excitement,
02:00the jeopardy, the storytelling, the head-to-head rivals,
02:04you know, those races that we saw with the tight finishes
02:07and all of those amazing performances.
02:09You can see that now four times a year
02:11when we launch Grand Slam Track next April.
02:15We're signing athletes.
02:16I know that that's what everybody wants to know.
02:18Who are the next athletes?
02:19Some Olympic champions, some Olympic medalists.
02:21We'll be announcing the other three cities
02:23that will be hosting Grand Slam Track.
02:25We already announced Los Angeles, so really excited.
02:27That's what's next.
