The joyful entrepreneur

Jordan Patente, the joyful entrepreneur, has faced adversity from family and society, yet harnessed strength from it to foster a spirit of resilience and determination, instead of letting them define who he is. After traversing roles from customer service to operations and training management and leadership in the BPO industry, Jordan’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish various businesses, ranging from a humble wet market stall to a dynamic training company. At the age of 40, he achieved successful retirement but found himself at a crossroads, realizing that material success alone did not equate to happiness. This pivotal moment led him to embrace his true calling as a motivational speaker, advocating for mental wellness, self-love, acceptance, and authenticity. Jordan is a certified ally of Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry. He champions entrepreneurship, customer service, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, digital marketing, operations management, and personal transformation. Jordan currently serves as CEO of Transform Philippines, a co-founder of HEALOM Philippines, advancing complementary and alternative medicine and president of Clean Zone PH, elevating the cleaning and property management industry.

00:00The Business Mentor Talks is vlog by no other, Armando Buts Bartolome, in cooperation with
00:14the Manila Times.
00:15It aims to bring to life and recognize entrepreneurs who constantly strive to create a living for
00:21the community as well.
00:51Listen to the Business Mentor Talks with Buts Bartolome.
01:15Again, this is Buts Bartolome, again, a blessed Sunday.
01:24But again, for us, our blessedness is actually bringing you beautiful interviews, that are
01:35full of meaning and are inspiring.
01:38Today, we will interview an entrepreneur who has a lot to share, especially what happens
01:51after retirement.
01:52What is it, is it happiness or sadness?
01:57So to give you further, again, insight, I'm with GoNegosyo, one of the mentors of GoNegosyo.
02:07We are also included in other visitations, especially in our DepEd program of GoNegosyo
02:16in Mindoro, in Nuse Mindoro, during the hot season, the very hot season, and at the same
02:23time in Ilocos, in Lawag.
02:27So without further ado, let's welcome Mr. Jordan Patente, the joyful entrepreneur.
02:33Jordan, good morning, good Sunday to you.
02:37Good morning, good Sunday.
02:39I hope everyone is relaxed, Sir Buts, and I'm very grateful that I'm here with you.
02:47Right.
02:48Right.
02:49Jordan, what is it that many people are saying, many of our friends, viewers, and listeners
02:58are saying that they want to retire, retire, retire.
03:02But what is the real meaning of a retiree, what is the reality, the real talk, what is it?
03:11Well, that's a good topic, Sir Buts, because of course, we all reach the point of retirement.
03:18But for some, or for most, if I may say, their retirement age is 60 or 65, but for us entrepreneurs,
03:25it's not applicable.
03:26But in my case, it's a long goal.
03:30So it's a goal that I've set when I was still a full-time employee, and I realized at the
03:35age of 33 that I wanted to retire when I reached the age of 40.
03:39I want to, when I retire, one of the most important books that I've come across with was the book
03:51of Robert Kiyosaki, Sir Buts.
03:53Isn't that the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad?
03:56Yes.
03:57Yes.
03:58The thing was, that book was not available when I was looking for it in a big bookstore.
04:03The fourth series of Rich Dad, Poor Dad is available, and it is about retiring young
04:12and rich.
04:13That's the title of the book.
04:15So it made a huge impact in my life that, yes, I want to retire, but when I retire,
04:21I want to be very comfortable.
04:23I worked so hard in the last seven years, Sir Buts, that I felt like I gave too much
04:31of my body and myself, and I was able to prove myself.
04:36I was happy, and I must say that even until now, it's been almost three years that I'm
04:42retired, and I'm living the life.
04:44I don't have to worry about where to get sales.
04:47Do I have a house?
04:49Do I have a house to pay for?
04:51Do I have a car?
04:52Do I have a house?
04:53Everything that I need, Sir, I thought I'm beyond blessed.
04:56So for me, it's nice to have a life where you're retired, where you have extra energy
05:03to go around, extra energy to pursue mission work.
05:08Because for me, I miss really big.
05:10Because when I was a kid, Sir Buts, even though I just asked for permission from my
05:16mom in high school, I was already helping in the likes of Bantay Bata, Bantay Kaligasan,
05:22I really like that.
05:24And while growing up, especially when I was busy in my corporate life, I didn't have
05:29time for them.
05:30And especially when I became a businessman, Sir Buts, full-time, I didn't have time
05:36in doing those things.
05:38And I'm looking for it, especially now that I'm retired.
05:41So for me, I'm living a fulfilled life with the enough energy that can bring me and
05:48allow me to go around and do things that really matters to me without compromising,
05:53Sir Buts, what are my values.
05:56That's really big for me.
05:58Correct, correct.
05:59But is it easy to retire?
06:01Is it easy to make a decision to retire?
06:05What was your process?
06:08Well, there are two kinds.
06:10First, forced retirement.
06:12Yes.
06:13Sorry, especially when there's a redundancy or when two companies merge.
06:20You know, we see a lot of that.
06:22Or the other is planned retirement.
06:25Or the other is accidentally retired.
06:28So how does one prepare really?
06:31I'm sure a lot of people are watching us nearing that age.
06:36Because some people say that when you retire, you're already retarded.
06:39Is that right?
06:40I hope so.
06:42I hope you're retarded and happy.
06:44But in most cases, it can be miserable.
06:46Because you said, can a Filipino prepare for their retirement?
06:53And speaking of my personal journey, Sir Buts,
06:57I wasn't able to prepare, even though I've been working towards that goal.
07:02What am I saying that I wasn't able to prepare?
07:04Because for the last seven years,
07:07I wanted the business to be successful.
07:10Then we had a pandemic, right?
07:12So it was a bit difficult.
07:14Because the insecurity of what if this pandemic will not stop.
07:19So the pandemic had a big impact.
07:21And I don't think somebody could really prepare.
07:23Because we don't know until now.
07:25I'm not sure if we're at the tail end or still in the middle of the pandemic.
07:29They didn't say it's an endemic.
07:33Probably, I'm not aware.
07:34But the thing is, even the regular employees
07:38could really not prepare so much about what is yet to come.
07:42Because when you're fulfilling duties,
07:44such as you have a full-time work,
07:46you have a full-time business that you're running,
07:48you just can only plan in terms of thinking what you're going to do next.
07:53But the plan that you have in place could probably not happen.
07:57Because, Sir Buts, the world is different when you're already retired.
08:02The hardest part, Sir Buts, I'll just tell you,
08:04is the aspect that you don't know what to do.
08:08Because you've been so used to working so hard,
08:12doing a lot of things, right? Multitasking.
08:15Mega.
08:16Then all of a sudden...
08:17It's mega, mega tasking.
08:19Sometimes when you wake up, you're tired already.
08:21Sometimes you can't even have breakfast.
08:24You know, hit the ground running.
08:26That's what they say, right?
08:28Yes.
08:29Then all of a sudden, boom!
08:31You have a vacuum.
08:33Yes.
08:34The world stopped.
08:36It's like, hi, why is no one calling me anymore?
08:39Hi, no one is messaging me anymore.
08:42That's true, Sir.
08:43You know, for me, at first,
08:45they say that drug addicts need to go through their withdrawal stage, right?
08:52It's the same with retirement.
08:54Because when I was a full-time business owner,
08:58although I should trust other people,
09:02and then I had an issue about being perfectionist and all that,
09:06I couldn't let go of it right away.
09:08So when I officially turned 40,
09:11my partner and I decided that I could retire.
09:15Because he also saw that my health,
09:19my physical health, and my mental health were not good.
09:21So later, we could share more about that.
09:23But the concept of withdrawal,
09:27can I just handle one department?
09:29And I thought, I love working in branding, in marketing.
09:34So those were my last projects in the business.
09:37So slowly, I was running out of things to do.
09:41It was really hard, Sir.
09:43So for the first time in your entire working life,
09:47you ran out of things to do,
09:49and you couldn't write anything on your planner.
09:54Right?
09:55The vacuum that you are really seeing.
09:59How do you handle that?
10:01The vacuum?
10:02For me, Sir, it was really hard.
10:04If I may just say.
10:05And now, I could understand,
10:07and I understand our senior citizens who are also retiring,
10:12that it's really hard.
10:13Some of them are losing what the Japanese say,
10:16their livelihood.
10:17All of a sudden, you lost your purpose in life.
10:20And so, I'm grateful in a way that,
10:23at least at my age of 40,
10:24I have time to really think about,
10:27what do I want to pursue?
10:29Because Sir, if I may just share,
10:31after being a full-time business owner,
10:33I became a full-time vlogger.
10:35Because I didn't know what I was going to do.
10:37So I really jumped into vlogging,
10:40because I'm used to running an office with people.
10:43Even my vlogging, I inherited Sir Boots.
10:46But I must also tell you,
10:47and I must admit, to be honest,
10:49it wasn't successful,
10:51my venture.
10:52To the extent that,
10:53it's like you still put up a startup business,
10:57and you wanted it to become successful.
10:59So a few months ago,
11:02I think less than 6 months ago this year,
11:05I made the decision to stop vlogging.
11:08Because first, the cost of my overhead is too high.
11:11Second,
11:13vlogging is not that easy.
11:16So these realities are hitting me.
11:20It's like your expenses, stress, preparation and all,
11:23no one is watching you.
11:25So it's part of the process Sir Boots,
11:28that if your world stops,
11:30as a full-time entrepreneur,
11:32or as they say, a corporate slave,
11:36if your world stops,
11:39you have nothing to do but look for a purpose.
11:43So it's like a midlife crisis, so to speak.
11:46So you're now asking,
11:48the big WHY is in front of you.
11:52Why?
11:54You have to find out your WHY.
11:56But Jordan,
11:58it's not just this,
12:00but again, what's really hitting us,
12:02especially after the pandemic,
12:05or during the pandemic,
12:06is mental health.
12:09I know that the other day,
12:10before the pandemic,
12:11nobody wants to talk,
12:13it's like a hush of mental health.
12:18But with this pandemic,
12:20it has really,
12:21you know,
12:22it has really increased.
12:24A lot.
12:25I mean,
12:26nobody is exempted, right?
12:28During the pandemic,
12:29it struck us,
12:30we all thought,
12:31ah, it's just for a while,
12:322 days, 3 days.
12:35But it's 2 days, 3 days,
12:36it became 3 years.
12:39So,
12:40especially if I'm going to retire,
12:42that's really mental health,
12:44really a big factor
12:46that affects a lot of people,
12:48especially retirees.
12:50That's a lot, Sir Butts.
12:52In fact,
12:53the pressure of you
12:54not knowing what to do,
12:55regardless with or without pandemic,
12:58that's heavy.
12:59Especially,
13:00the big factor there,
13:02Sir Butts,
13:03is the concept that,
13:04am I still earning money?
13:05Am I putting money on the table?
13:08Food on the table?
13:09If it stops,
13:10Sir Butts,
13:12even if you're secured,
13:13you'll have insecurities
13:15because you're not productive.
13:18So now,
13:19mentally,
13:20what is really happening?
13:22There's so much happening
13:23in your head.
13:24So, that's one.
13:25I've also realized,
13:26Sir Butts,
13:27that this pandemic,
13:28I was thinking,
13:29because to be honest,
13:30Sir Butts,
13:31I also had that depression
13:34before I retired.
13:36So, before I turned 40,
13:38I didn't like what I was doing,
13:41Sir Butts.
13:42I've realized that
13:43we, as businessmen,
13:44Sir Butts,
13:45we have different classes.
13:47So, what I mean is that,
13:49some businessmen can just run
13:51their businesses
13:53almost forever.
13:54So, maybe,
13:55Sir Butts is in that category
13:57because until now,
13:58he was really passionate
13:59about helping businesses.
14:01Continuously, right?
14:03Allow me to help you
14:04grow your business.
14:05Yeah, yeah.
14:06You could be that.
14:07And that's how it is,
14:08Sir Butts.
14:09And I also have something like that,
14:10that I am so good at start-ups.
14:13That all of my energy,
14:15I'll put it in the start-up.
14:17But to the point that,
14:19when I've fixed everything,
14:21there's no more challenge for me.
14:23It's like I've experienced
14:24all the challenges
14:25and I've given it a solution.
14:27It's time to move on.
14:28I have to.
14:30Because what I did,
14:31Sir Butts,
14:32in my five years
14:33with the previous company,
14:35I stayed.
14:36To the extent that
14:37I became grumpy.
14:38Every day,
14:39my head is hot.
14:40That's why I became depressed.
14:41Because it's like
14:42there's no purpose anymore.
14:43Especially me, Sir,
14:44I'm fond of documentation.
14:46I'm O.C. in that.
14:47All of my problems,
14:49it's for the franchise,
14:50right, Sir?
14:51It's all written there.
14:52I'm going to write it
14:53so that I'll have a business bible
14:55after.
14:56So, I did that.
14:57So, all of their questions
14:59or their issues,
15:00all I can say is,
15:01we've faced that already.
15:03Look at our history,
15:06it's like that.
15:07So, I lost my purpose.
15:09So, it continued.
15:11My head is hot,
15:12I can't sleep,
15:13I'm not happy,
15:14I don't want to go out,
15:15I can't talk to people.
15:17And then, of course,
15:18the pandemic,
15:19you have no choice
15:20but to stay at home.
15:22Correct.
15:23It's really going to come together
15:24and our mental health
15:25will be affected.
15:26And so, I had that,
15:27Sir Butts.
15:28So, how did you manage
15:29that mental health issue,
15:31Jordan?
15:32How did you,
15:33how were you able
15:34to swim towards,
15:36you know,
15:37springing yourself back?
15:39How was that?
15:40Because,
15:41I'm sure a lot of people
15:42can relate, right?
15:43The different aspects.
15:45It's not just entrepreneurs,
15:47it's anyone, right?
15:49Students,
15:50especially those who used to be
15:52very active in social life,
15:54especially those we call
15:56party animals,
15:58those who like to go out
16:00at night,
16:01all of a sudden,
16:02they're stuck at home.
16:04So, they developed depression,
16:06right?
16:07So, you,
16:08what are the steps
16:09that you took today?
16:11Well, Sir Butts,
16:12to be honest,
16:13you know,
16:14it's hard to admit to yourself
16:16that you have a mental condition.
16:18It's,
16:19I'm just grateful
16:21that, of course,
16:22with constant prayer
16:24and communication
16:26with our Creator,
16:27that I've been doing
16:29self-assessment.
16:30Because, Sir,
16:31I know myself.
16:32That's why.
16:33So, it's,
16:34it helps that you know yourself.
16:36And when you know yourself,
16:38you also get to see
16:39the difference
16:40of who you were before
16:41and who you are now.
16:43And, why am I saying this?
16:44Because I've realized,
16:45when I started
16:47being a full-time business owner,
16:49I knew that my enthusiasm
16:51was so high,
16:52my mind was so long
16:54for the errors.
16:57Of course,
16:58we are businessmen,
17:00we don't want to make mistakes,
17:01to fail, right?
17:02My mind was so long.
17:03But, over the years,
17:05I changed a lot.
17:07In a way that,
17:08I really don't want to talk
17:10to people anymore.
17:11And, you know, Sir,
17:12as a businessman,
17:14I'm always mission-driven.
17:16But even so,
17:18my people, particularly,
17:20and this I am sharing with everybody,
17:22I'm not proud,
17:23but I thought it's worth sharing.
17:25Even though my purpose
17:27in my business is noble,
17:29because it's also helping the industry,
17:31helping them sustain their jobs,
17:33and all,
17:34I've realized, Sir,
17:36that a lot of people don't like me
17:38to the extent that they brought me to Dole.
17:40Why did they bring me to Dole?
17:42It's not because of unfair treatment,
17:44but it's because of their perception of me.
17:48So, it really hurts.
17:51I really remember my birthday,
17:52I was in Dole.
17:53So, it's like I was booted.
17:56I was even caught, Sir,
17:58because I was parked in Bawaldo,
18:00Baguintay,
18:01if you didn't really
18:03take off your shoes.
18:05So, it really hurts.
18:07It's like a typhoon, Sir Butch.
18:09But the thing is,
18:11how did I get through that?
18:13Because I could say that
18:15because I'm talking about it,
18:17the phase of my life is over
18:19where I don't want
18:21to talk to other people anymore.
18:23So, I'm past my depression stage.
18:26But I'm the type of person, Sir Butch,
18:28who doesn't like to take medicine.
18:30So, I will really not
18:32go to a doctor
18:34for me.
18:35So, I'm saying that I'm not clinically
18:37defined
18:39to have depression.
18:41But, of course,
18:43we like to use the internet.
18:45So, we saw the symptoms
18:47and they are all present.
18:50But what I look for, Sir Butch,
18:52is I look for complementary
18:54alternative medicine.
18:56I thought I'm comfortable
18:58with them.
19:00For some reason, I resonate a lot with them.
19:02So, Sir Butch,
19:04a lot of coaching sessions.
19:06And then, I went through
19:08releasing of the deep-seated
19:10stresses.
19:12And another thing that
19:14I'd like to be honest with,
19:16Sir Butch,
19:18is to accept
19:20myself fully.
19:23Because,
19:25back in the day, Sir Butch,
19:27I don't speak particularly about
19:29my sexuality because I'm scared.
19:31Because I went through a lot,
19:33Sir Butch, when I was young.
19:35You were molested,
19:37and then you were also
19:39a lot of things that hurt me,
19:41Sir, physically and emotionally.
19:43Yeah, the physical hurts.
19:45It's hard to accept.
19:47Sometimes, you're
19:49next to me and we're kissing.
19:51But again,
19:53it boils up like a volcano.
19:55Sooner or later, you never know
19:57a volcano when it will erupt.
19:59It erupts at the wrong time at the wrong place.
20:05You're able to...
20:07What I'm looking at now is actually
20:09phases. You're able to accept who you are.
20:11You're able to
20:13analyze
20:15what you're going through
20:17rather than keep on
20:19denying, self-denial,
20:21and then moving on.
20:23Again, you really now
20:25appreciate the beauty of
20:27the technology like the internet.
20:29Imagine that.
20:31For example,
20:33our time is
20:351920s, 1930s.
20:37Probably, you're
20:39at home but you can't
20:41read. You can't
20:43get help.
20:45From there on,
20:47what's your view on life?
20:49Where is now Jordan?
20:51Where is now the path of Jordan?
20:53You're now saying
20:55the joyful entrepreneur.
20:57What is this that you turned around
20:59and now coming up with this
21:01kind of campaign that
21:03you are doing now?
21:05Our transition is beautiful, sir.
21:07I hope
21:09our viewers
21:11appreciate the journey
21:13and our storytelling
21:16because I'd like to say
21:18that at this point in time, sir Boots,
21:20I think I'm really ready
21:22to talk about what I went through
21:24because again, it wasn't easy
21:26to admit it, that's one.
21:28It's also not easy to say that
21:30your healing process is still ongoing
21:32but as I told you, sir Boots,
21:34I thought I'm really
21:36prayerful
21:38and part of my process
21:40is to ask the Lord
21:42what I should do
21:44as a retired
21:46I really don't have to work, sir Boots.
21:48I really don't have
21:50to please people as well.
21:52That's another answer to my new mantra.
21:54Before, you're a people pleaser
21:56because you don't have that full self-acceptance.
21:58That's why, okay,
22:00I'll ask other people first.
22:02But now, because I thought I'm whole,
22:04I'm not perfect still
22:06and I don't want to be there,
22:08I thought I want to talk about
22:10what I went through.
22:12One of the answers I got from my prayer
22:14is I should also talk about
22:16the mental health,
22:18particularly our
22:20businessmen.
22:24Yes, that's right.
22:26I always say,
22:28an entrepreneur is like a captain of the ship.
22:30If the entrepreneur is physically
22:32and mentally sick,
22:34how will the ship
22:36run?
22:38It will go around and maybe later,
22:40the ship will suddenly
22:42sink.
22:44That's actually how the analogy of
22:46an entrepreneur is.
22:48Especially when we say,
22:50health is wealth, physically
22:52and mentally.
22:54Because a lot of people say,
22:56they keep on jogging,
22:58they keep doing a lot of visitations to the gym.
23:00What about your
23:02gymnastics in your health?
23:04Is there something like that,
23:06Jordan?
23:08Yes, there is.
23:10So that we can really
23:12get out of our mental
23:14illnesses, there are ways
23:16and part of them is regular
23:18exercise. I remember
23:20in Blue Zones,
23:22Sir Butch, we talked about Blue Zones 1.
23:24In that docu-series,
23:26the centenarians,
23:28they don't go to the gym and yet,
23:30they're still physically fit because
23:32they ascend the
23:34higher roads,
23:36attend to the regular house chores.
23:38We as businessmen, Sir Butch,
23:40I've realized that as our businesses grow,
23:42we don't do anything
23:44at home.
23:46Nothing.
23:48Especially, although
23:50an internet is a plus,
23:52but it can also be a minus.
23:56Because you're right there,
23:58everybody seems to be a sedentary person.
24:00Everyone is sitting.
24:02It's rare for us
24:04to be standing.
24:06That's true.
24:08But the thing is,
24:10we all need that.
24:12We need to sweat things out because when we sweat out,
24:14you're also releasing
24:16the negative
24:18that your body
24:20accumulates.
24:22So it can be out.
24:24Apart from that,
24:26personally,
24:28I haven't been
24:30healthy eating because
24:32there are a lot of temptations
24:34that I still can't turn down.
24:36But apart from that, Sir Butch,
24:38our mental health particularly
24:40needs exercising.
24:42Mindfulness is one.
24:44Mindfulness is
24:46about appreciating
24:48and just pausing
24:50once in a while to appreciate
24:52the things that you have,
24:54the people that are around you.
24:56That's one.
24:58We're all busy.
25:00On social media, Sir Butch,
25:02I'm sure you've also noticed that
25:04it's like a drug
25:06that makes you addicted.
25:08You just want to scroll up and down
25:10even if it's just for 30 seconds.
25:12At some point, you will realize
25:14that nothing is happening in your life.
25:16Once you finish that realization,
25:18you'll go back to your cell phone
25:20even if you don't want that routine.
25:22Social media
25:24is that addictive.
25:26We have to be mindful
25:28and really pause.
25:30Sometimes,
25:32I almost notice
25:34whether you're in a bus,
25:36whether you're in the LRT,
25:38whether you're in the mall.
25:40I think everyone is sitting right now.
25:42Nobody seems to be looking up.
25:44Everyone is like that.
25:48Cell phone oriented.
25:50There's no phone.
25:52Basically,
25:54what can your program now?
25:56You're coming up with a program.
25:58Tell us your program, Jordan.
26:00I'm sure a lot of people
26:02want to join
26:04and participate.
26:06Really, relating to
26:08what you have been telling us
26:10and sharing us.
26:12What is really the program all about?
26:14Thank you, Sir Butch.
26:16We will certainly share
26:18what we're going through.
26:20The common things that we're going through
26:22are obviously our mental health.
26:24What we need right now,
26:26apart from the fact that we have to accept
26:28that this is still happening to us
26:30because culturally,
26:32we're afraid to admit that we're stressed
26:34or that you have
26:36feelings in your mind
26:38because of the many problems
26:40you're facing every day.
26:42It's just natural,
26:44but we have to start talking about it.
26:46First, there should be an awareness
26:48about what we are going to do
26:50apart from the awareness.
26:52Of course, we have a process
26:54where we will allow our participants
26:56to also go through
26:58recognizing their current
27:00state of mental health.
27:02As they recognize
27:04that, they have to go through
27:06acceptance of who they are right now
27:08and forgiving themselves.
27:10We will have activities to do that
27:12because only when you forgive yourself
27:14that you allowed yourself to be
27:16in that mental state,
27:18that's when you're closer
27:20to healing or that's when the healing
27:22could start. Only then.
27:24Most of the time,
27:26what we see on YouTube
27:28is what we're watching.
27:30Someone told us to meditate.
27:32When you meditate,
27:34you quiet your mind, but the point is
27:36the intention is not there.
27:38We need to go through the process
27:40of forgiving ourselves.
27:42In the program, we will
27:44help you go through that
27:46forgiving session of yourself
27:48and others. Apart from that,
27:50we'll also go through
27:52meditation.
27:54I'm excited about
27:56sound bath healing.
27:58That's one of the exciting
28:00parts because
28:02the deepest
28:04traumas or stresses
28:06could be released
28:08with the help of sound bath
28:10healing.
28:12What is sound bath?
28:14That's a new word
28:16to me.
28:18You have a water bath
28:20but you have now a sound bath.
28:22What is it?
28:24Did you expound on that, Jordan?
28:26When it comes to sound bath,
28:28there are many tools you can use
28:30but the concept is
28:32the vibration of a tool
28:34when it created a sound
28:36and when it reached a certain frequency,
28:38it could release stress.
28:40That's how beautiful
28:42it is.
28:44Our first program is online
28:46but apart from that, we'll also have
28:48an in-person session.
28:50Both are equally
28:52effective but
28:54the in-person session is different.
28:56For the time being, we'll do it online.
28:58This is just
29:00for them to know and understand
29:02whether it's really for them.
29:04Tell me, when is this going to be,
29:06Jordan?
29:08It's happening on
29:1013th of August
29:12evening at 6.30pm.
29:14We'll do it online.
29:16Apart from that,
29:18in sound bath healing,
29:20we also have
29:22emotional freedom
29:24releases or EFT.
29:26Emotional Freedom Technique.
29:28There are ways to just
29:30release immediately
29:32our stresses.
29:34That's what we'll teach
29:36in our workshop.
29:38Probably,
29:40how does one
29:42get to register?
29:46Any other further details
29:48you want to share?
29:50Yes, thank you.
29:52All they have to do is go to my website.
29:54It's jordanpatente.com
29:56I'm also on all
29:58social media.
30:00It's jordanpatente.com
30:02Look me up and we have a registration form.
30:04We're actively talking
30:06about this program because we thought
30:08that a lot of people are not talking
30:10but they really want
30:12to know how to
30:14face their mental
30:16health issues.
30:18On social media and website.
30:20That's true.
30:22A lot of people are not talking but they look normal
30:24and yet they're not normal.
30:26Because deep inside, they're probably boiling.
30:28Deep inside, they're just waiting
30:30for, you know,
30:32unnecessary eruption.
30:34Especially
30:36your bosses.
30:38Maybe you think
30:40your boss is happy
30:42but he's smiling.
30:44That kind of smile.
30:46Or probably
30:48for no
30:50reason at all, your boss
30:52all of a sudden blasts you.
30:54You might wonder,
30:56why did my boss get angry?
30:58I mean,
31:00there are a lot of repercussions, right?
31:02You may lose a person
31:04because a person may not be happy anymore
31:06simply because the one on top
31:08or the superior
31:10has some problems.
31:12I mean, that can affect.
31:14Especially now, we talked about this
31:16in the past vlog.
31:18It's hard to find
31:20people.
31:22It's hard to find people.
31:24People are free now
31:26to have their own business.
31:28They rather work from home.
31:30But again, looking for qualified
31:32people, I think this is one
31:34benefit that
31:36an entrepreneur who undergoes your program
31:38of becoming the
31:40joyful entrepreneur
31:42and something that
31:44you can spread that campaign
31:46all over.
31:48So, is there an age limit
31:50for this, Jordan?
31:52That's a good question, sir Buts.
31:54This is for everybody.
31:56At the age of 7 years old,
31:58the child has already
32:00gone through something.
32:02Even that, you can just release.
32:04But of course, we're talking about
32:06entrepreneurs.
32:08If you have a business,
32:10even if you're in high school or elementary,
32:12you can join.
32:14But of course, the seasoned
32:16entrepreneurs, you know, one time,
32:18I talked to someone in USAID
32:20in one of the summits
32:22that I attended lately.
32:24He said, for micro and
32:26small business owners, this is your program.
32:28And I told him that
32:30this program is for
32:32everyone, even if they're
32:34medium and large scale businesses.
32:36There are those who went through
32:38less stress because they have
32:40all the people and the help
32:42that they need. But the point is,
32:44those who are already inside
32:46of us, those with deep roots,
32:48need to be released. Because as you said,
32:50sir, eventually,
32:52it's like a volcano exploding.
32:54You know, sir, that's what's sad.
32:56Entrepreneurs don't know
32:58that their
33:00maintenance for their
33:02cardiovascular issues,
33:04the high blood pressure,
33:06or the sudden
33:08heart attack,
33:10the source of that is
33:12stress. And stress,
33:14as simple as stress, this is already mental health.
33:16Oh, that's a little
33:18careful, right?
33:20A lot of
33:22people,
33:24let's just talk to
33:26Dr. Moso,
33:28who can also be featured here,
33:30that there are a lot of
33:32children,
33:34you know, the
33:36sickness of the old is now becoming
33:38the sickness of the young.
33:40Diabetes,
33:42heart problem,
33:44mental health,
33:46right?
33:48So, Jordan,
33:50there are two or three
33:52takeaways that you can say
33:54that you can share right now
33:56with our viewers.
33:58For those who are planning to do
34:00a business or launch
34:02their career,
34:04so they can start on the right foot,
34:06what can you recommend?
34:08Well, first,
34:10sir Butch,
34:12if you can,
34:14start now,
34:16regardless of your situation,
34:18even if you're a full-time
34:20employee,
34:22you still have to start working
34:24on your dreams, your goals,
34:26right? Because
34:28business won't be successful
34:30the moment you decide to become a full-time business
34:32owner. It doesn't work
34:34that way. So, the sooner you can
34:36start, you have to do that. That's
34:38first. Second,
34:40based on my experience,
34:42I'm not ashamed to say that
34:44at some point in my
34:46life,
34:48I was scolded by people
34:50around me, particularly my employees
34:52because of my mental
34:54health illnesses.
34:56And there are ways
34:58to avoid this.
35:00You can still be joyful
35:02and at the same time successful
35:04in your business. All you have
35:06to do really is first to become
35:08aware of it. That's second,
35:10sir Butch. And finally, sir,
35:12let's not forget
35:14regardless of your religion,
35:16to always talk to our
35:18Creator, to our Lord God.
35:20Because He places us here.
35:22Everyone has a mission
35:24in running
35:26our lives. If you're
35:28in the business,
35:30you have more
35:32influence
35:34and the industry
35:36will be better, possibly because of you.
35:38So, let's not forget
35:40to always ask
35:42for guidance.
35:44And most importantly, sir Butch,
35:46I'll just share quickly, as you
35:48say your prayer, please don't just
35:50complain or ask for something.
35:52The most important and beautiful
35:54prayer is to thank
35:56the things you have
35:58and the people
36:00around you. So, it's
36:02the spirit of being grateful
36:04to all the
36:06provisions that He has been giving
36:08you.
36:10It's beautiful what you said
36:12because it's enough
36:14to complain. Maybe God
36:16can hear your complaint.
36:18He gave you life.
36:20Today,
36:22I woke you up again and
36:24you're still breathing.
36:26But the small things may
36:28be small to us
36:30but it's really big
36:32to a lot of
36:34people. Especially
36:36whatever you have,
36:38probably you're blessed but for those
36:40who do not have what they're
36:42supposed to have.
37:08I'm sure
37:20you will be taking that up.
37:22The joyful entrepreneur.
37:26And again, Jordan,
37:28maraming inang oras na
37:30ginugol ko na sayo
37:32para may
37:34share natin sa lahat na mga tao
37:36na to join you.
37:38Really to join you and really
37:40create this kind of
37:42evolution
37:44of having joyful
37:46entrepreneur. Hindi yun nakasimangot
37:48ng mga entrepreneur.
37:50E malas daw yun pag nakasimangot
37:52ka eh. Wala nga eh.
37:54So, ganun lang.
37:56So again, Jordan, maraming maraming
37:58salamat and I really
38:00wish you all the luck and
38:02thank you for bringing to light
38:04to our blog
38:06about what mental
38:08health and what it should be
38:10done and really sharing your program.
38:12Okay? Thank you, sir.
38:14Thank you. Thank you, Jordan. Thank you.
38:16Thank you for your Sunday
38:18edition of the
38:20Business Mentor Talks.
38:22Thank you. Okay. Bye-bye.
