00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:04thanked the United States for its continued support for the Philippines.
00:10In a courtesy call of the U.S. Congressional Delegation in Palacio,
00:14the President urged the U.S. to support the U.S.
00:17so that the U.S.-Philippines alliance can be stronger,
00:22something that the Philippines acknowledges and thanks for.
00:26The President said that the true alliance between the two countries
00:32to face and address the new challenges is a big deal.
00:36The United States thanked President Marcos, Jr. for his support for the U.S.
00:43and also acknowledged its contribution to the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore,
00:49where the President made it clear the country's opposition to the West Philippine Sea.
00:55The U.S. Delegation also urged the Philippines to join the Foreign Military Financing, or FMC,
01:02where 500 million U.S. dollars will be allocated to the Philippines.
01:08As part of the U.S. Delegation's visit,
01:12it is to learn the views and concerns of the Philippines on China
01:17so that it can help resolve the issues in various regions.
