00:06the Supreme Court of Justice is holding the second day of hearings with the former electoral
00:11candidates that took part in the July 28th elections in the country.
00:16And this process is part of the investigations into this precise electoral process.
00:21Let's recall that for the second consecutive day, the Supreme Court of Justice is receiving
00:28former presidential candidates.
00:30In this case, the Supreme Court of Justice received Timoteo Zambrano before the Electoral
00:38Court of the Supreme Court of Justice.
00:41At this moment, we can say that today, earlier today, the Supreme Court President Carizlia
00:46Rodríguez received the representative of the Popular Will Party, José Noriega, who
00:51was required to appear before the judges on Thursday morning.
00:56During his statement, José Noriega said, we bring all the information that a digital
01:02popular will and I have gathered.
01:05We are here to strengthen transparency, to give the country confidence in these presidential
01:10elections and to ensure that Venezuelan address the issues it's facing at this moment.
01:16Last week, the Supreme Court officially summoned the 10 presidential candidates and the representatives
01:23of political parties to present all the electoral materials they have in their possession, a

01:39entrance in the courtroom to receive the former candidate and also the representatives of
01:45his party.
01:46In this context, let's highlight that Edmundo González, who was a candidate for the Democratic
01:53Unity Platform from the ultra-right wing of the country, did not appear at the hearing
01:59in the Supreme Court of Justice electoral chamber yesterday, where he was expected to
02:04present the voting records from the presidential elections held on July 28th, thus disobeying
02:10an explicit mandate from the Supreme Court of Justice.
02:14Let's recall that in the elections on July 28th, the candidate of the great patriotic
02:19poll, Nicolás Maduro, was re-elected as president of Venezuela for the 2025-2031 term.
02:27The far-right politician Edmundo González proclaimed himself after the release of the
02:33results given by the National Electoral Commission of the country.
02:38He proclaimed himself as Venezuelan president, Edmundo González, registered also for the
02:43elections and put up election witnesses, however, since before the electoral process
02:49took place in the country, and after realizing that he would not win the elections, they
02:54choose to promote violence and also to make calls of widespread fraud without evidence
03:01in order to start a civil war in the country.
03:05Let's recall he did not attend a previous summons from the Supreme Court, this is not
03:10the first time he is not attending to an official summons, instead his party did not
03:17recognize the election results, that's what they decided, and also decided to attempt
03:23to usurp the authority of the National Electoral Council, promoting violent actions on July
03:3129th and July 30th, right after the release of the results of the July 28th elections.
03:39Let's recall that we are at this moment seeing images of Venezuela, Caracas and all the support
03:49that President Nicolás Maduro is receiving.
