Watch Sadie Gilbert's review of the new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool
Transcript
00:00The terminal that cost millions and has left many questioning whether it is
00:04worth it has finally been unveiled to the public. I went along to Liverpool
00:09last weekend give an inside scoop of what it is really like. The signage
00:14outside of the terminal might be terrible but inside I had no issues
00:18figuring out where to go. Friendly staff at security got us straight through to
00:24the much-anticipated cafe. The building itself was modern spacious and clean
00:31the cafe however had a limited selection of crisps and cold drinks as well as
00:36some cakes. The coffee machine was up and running which is always a good sign. The
00:42seating area in my opinion was large and spaced out however I can see how at busy
00:47times such as TT or Manx Grand Prix it may get a little overcrowded. The
00:54toilets stole the show for me, a major improvement from the last terminal. A
00:59large space with complimentary nappy bags I thought was a lovely touch for
01:04any mums. There was no need to ask for the Wi-Fi or any bus timetables they
01:09were visibly on display in the cafe. My rating of the new terminal would have to
01:14be an 8 out of 10. Maybe some hot food options would boost it further but all
01:18in all I really enjoyed traveling through, seeing it, seeing the new colours
01:23how it was bright, spacious, airy. So yes a solid 8 out of 10 from me.
