Dramatic CCTV footage captures the terrifying moment a man is threatened at gunpoint on the doorstep of his home in a leafy Leeds village.

But telltale laughter in the background sparked police suspicions which would eventually show how the encounter had been staged as part of a revenge plot linked to a bitter divorce dispute.

At 10.29pm on Friday, July 31, 2020, Inderjeet Gosal made a panicked 999 call to police reporting that two masked males armed with what he believed to be a gun had threatened him at his home in Ash Hill Lane, Shadwell – fifteen minutes earlier.

One of the men had pointed what appeared to be a long-barrelled weapon and told him to “stay out of Jonny’s business, stay out of your sister’s case”.
