00:00Does it really hurt your body when you do the driving?
00:04Because I've heard people say,
00:06when you're sitting down, your body is shaking,
00:08but they don't realize how much your body is shaking.
00:11It's actually pretty intense.
00:13I get that because you have to have a lot of fitness
00:16within harsh environments.
00:18Meaning, one of the most tiring things is the G-Force.
00:21And then drivers experience around anywhere from up to 5Gs.
00:27And the best comparison there are jet fighters or planes.
00:33When you land or take off, you feel that impact.
00:38That's what you feel, but you feel it sideways.
00:41I remember at one point,
00:43I was lifting up to 40 plus pounds on my neck
00:49just so that I could take certain turns.
00:52Because I remember, I have a specific track in Korea.
00:56There was this turn that actually took 10 seconds.
00:59And I couldn't take it anymore because I was driving a Trans Am.
01:04I couldn't take it anymore that I would have to cross my arm
01:08between the window and my head
01:12just so that I won't snap my neck at the turn.
01:16And it's frustrating because because of that,
01:19I couldn't floor the gas because my body couldn't take it.
01:24I think that's one of the most unique aspects of racing,
01:28the training on your neck.
01:31Another one I would say is the stamina.
01:35Because you're wearing a 3-piece suit.
01:38Imagine you're wearing a sauna suit
01:41and all the way you're wearing gloves and a balaclava.
01:45Your helmet's around 10 pounds.
01:47I think they added some myth-busters
01:50that said you could lose up to 10 pounds or 10 kilos at a track.
01:56And then they did the test and it was plausible
01:59because the host actually lost a little more than that
02:03within, I think, two, two and a half hours or something.
02:07Wow, that's for losing weight.
02:11That's also possible.
02:12But that's assuming you can drive on a track.
