Met chief hails 'show of unity' from communities and police 'force' as far-right disorder fails to appear

00:00It was a massive policing operation. I'm really pleased with how it went and we

00:04put thousands of officers on the streets and I think the show of force from the

00:08police and frankly the show of show of unity from communities together defeated

00:14the challenges that we've seen and it went off very peacefully last night. A

00:18couple of locations we had some local criminals turn out and try and create

00:21antisocial behavior and we arrested a few of them but it was a very

00:24successful night and the fears of extreme right disorder were abated so a

00:30successful operation thanks to communities and police.
