00:00The Department of Agriculture is now preparing for the emergency procurement of the African Swine Fever vaccines
00:06amid the outbreak of ASF in Batangas.
00:09According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr.,
00:13as soon as the municipalities affected by ASF in Batangas declare a state of emergency,
00:19the DA will immediately take action to issue a fund to buy ASF vaccines.
00:25With the help of the emergency procurement,
00:27the timeline for buying vaccines will be shortened by two weeks.
00:31The DA's target is to buy 10,000 doses of ASF vaccines.
00:36The DA is now consulting with the PNP and AFP
00:39to ensure security and to prevent the spread of ASF virus in the province.
