महिला पहलवान विनेश फोगाट के गोल्ड के रेस से बाहर होने पर भारत में लगातार आवाज उठाई जा रही है। लोकसभा में भी आज (7 अगस्त 2024) विनेश फोगाट के मामले पर खेल मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने बयान दिया। मनसुख मांडविया ने कहा कि भारतीय पहलवान विनेश फोगाट को 100 ग्राम वजन ज्यादा होने की वजह से बाहर होना पड़ा, विनेश 50 कि. ग्रा की वेट कैटेरगी में खेल रहीं थी। इस मामले को लेकर भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय कुश्ती संघ से कड़ा विरोध भी दर्ज किया है। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने पीटी उषा से भी बात की है।
