00:00Hi, my name is Saoirse Eastwood and I have just recently been elected as the MP for Ligon
00:06Valley. It is my honour and privilege to serve you, the people of Ligon Valley. I have been
00:11very clear from the outset that I intend to work for everybody, just as we have done in
00:17my time at Council, Assembly and now Westminster, to work for everybody and be an MP for all.
00:24I look forward to the next few years. Already I've hit the ground running. I have spoken
00:28in the Chamber on Northern Ireland questions, on finance, a huge issue that we need proper
00:34and adequate funding for Northern Ireland. I have also spoken on the issue of education
00:38skills and special educational needs, another huge issue to so many families in Ligon Valley.
00:44And also we are keeping an eye on the farm here back at home in terms of the issues that
00:49matter to you. No issue too big or too small, right from the top of government down to potholes
00:54or whatever is important to you. If it matters to you, it matters to us. My team and the
00:59office are here to work for you.
