00:12that the unemployment rate dropped to 3.1 percent

00:16or the number of unemployed in the country this June 2024.

00:20It was down from 4.1 percent in May 2024

00:24and 4.5 percent in June of the previous year.

00:28It was down to 96.9 percent in June 2024

00:34or equivalent to 50.28 million employed individuals.

00:40According to the National Economic and Development Authority,

00:43Secretary Arsenio Balizacan,

00:45it greatly helped the rapid implementation of the government's infrastructure projects

00:51and the continuous improvement of operating conditions in manufacturing companies.

00:58According to Calihim, it also helped to increase employment

01:04in renewable energy, water supply, and mining.

01:10NEDA also emphasized the strengthening of productivity in the country

01:14through the introduction of new technologies

01:18such as upskilling and reskilling for employees.
