Blasting out of the Chemical Plant Zone, Sonic finds himself in the brand-new Studiopolis Zone. Along the way, Sonic meets the first of the Hard Boiled Heavies, the Heavy Gunner. After surviving the Gunner's attack, Sonic and Tails make it through the rest of Studiopolis to once again battle Robotnik. A broadcast quickly reveals that Robotnik has rebuilt the Flying Battery warship, so once again our heroes take to the skies in pursuit of their nemesis...
