Sad Husky Can't Play Any Sports This Winter So This Couple Builds Him An Igloo
When this active husky got sick, he couldn't play in the snow anymore — until his dad came up with a genius idea. Sally told us about a very special surprise that her boyfriend put together and Wiley's adorable reaction to it!

00:00Come on, let's get up.
00:03It's OK, it's OK, it's OK, it's OK, it's OK.
00:07His whole body was shaking and having tremors.
00:13He could not get up without screaming in pain.
00:17That's when we took him to the emergency vet.
00:22We took him to get chiropractic care.
00:24We took him to multiple vets who did, like, X-rays and things,
00:27but we couldn't really find anything.
00:29We just gave him some pain meds.
00:35He's on very limited activity, so he's not really
00:38allowed to go outside and play or run or do any of the things
00:41that he loves.
00:45It's been a very challenging couple of months
00:47because the injury essentially started right
00:48at the beginning of winter, which is definitely
00:54his favorite season here in Oregon.
00:58He absolutely loves the snow.
01:03He wants to be in it, like, tunneling, burrowing, playing,
01:07running.
01:08He's a snow dolphin.
01:12But this injury has lasted, like, months now.
01:17He's pretty much been on house arrest,
01:19like, not allowed to go outside, not allowed to play.
01:26Don't be sad.
01:27I think he just really misses going outside and having fun.
01:39My boyfriend, Dusty, he knows how much I love Wiley,
01:42how much, like, we just enjoy going out
01:44and having fun in the snow.
01:45And so I think he kind of saw that both of us
01:47have been kind of down.
01:51I started hearing these, like, big banging sounds
01:54outside on the back deck.
01:58Dusty was creating an ice box to make an igloo.
02:10Wiley was just so excited to check it out and go inside.
02:13Is that your little place?
02:15He's literally just looks so at peace
02:17and just, like, smelling the air and just looks, like,
02:20so happy to be in his little igloo.
02:22We're still trying to figure it out.
02:24I'm hoping to get him another MRI and just figure
02:27out exactly what's going on.
02:28But small little moments, like building an igloo
02:32or playing outside in the snow, like,
02:34they make such a huge difference, not just for Wiley,
02:36but for me and for Dusty, too, and just,
02:39like, for our little family.
02:41There's nothing that I wouldn't do for my dog, for Wiley.
02:45He's just so happy to be in his little igloo.
02:51And if doing something like that can make him happy,
02:54like, of course we're going to do that.
