00:00Good morning to all of you and the time is now August 7, 2024.
00:07Here are our latest satellite images.
00:09We can see that we still have a low-pressure area inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:15We last saw this 565 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
00:20So at the moment, based on our latest data, there is still a small chance that this will be a typhoon
00:26and it still has no direct effect on any part of our country.
00:30Meanwhile, we have a typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:35This is already in the Tropical Depression category.
00:38This means that in different categories of typhoons,
00:43the Tropical Depression is the weakest or the first category of tropical cyclones.
00:48We can see that the Tropical Depression is not yet a local name because it is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:55It also does not have an international name because the typhoons in the Tropical Storm category
01:00are the typhoons that we give an international name to.
01:04So for now, it is just one more tropical depression.
01:07From a low-pressure area, it became a tropical depression or a typhoon.
01:12This low-pressure area that we last saw is more than 2,000 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
01:18Again, it is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:21It has no direct effect on any part of our country.
01:23Its strength is 55 kilometers per hour and its magnitude is 70 kilometers per hour.
01:30This typhoon is almost stationary.
01:34But we expect that in the next few days, it will move towards a part of Japan.
01:40It also has no direct effect on any part of our country.
01:44The Tropical Depression is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:48There is also a small chance that it will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:53So for now, the strongest effect on our country is the Southwest Monsoon
01:58or what we still call Hanging Habagat.
02:00This will bring rains, especially here in the western section of Central and Southern Luzon.
02:07So we still expect rains, especially here in Bataan, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, and here in Palawan.
02:14A small part of our country will continue to experience isolated rains
02:20from dusk to dusk.
02:22This can be experienced in a large part of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
02:27It is also possible to experience early morning rain showers
02:32in one of the areas of Southwest Monsoon or Hanging Habagat.
02:36We will continue to provide updates, especially here in the areas where we monitor different weather systems.
02:41We still expect that in the next few days, the effects of Hanging Habagat will continue,
02:45especially in the western section of Luzon, particularly Bataan, Zambales, and Ilocos Region.
02:54Here in Luzon, we will see a large chance of rains in Bataan, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.
03:01This is a part of Southwest Monsoon or Hanging Habagat.
03:04While in other parts of Luzon, including Camaynilaan,
03:07we still expect isolated rain showers from dusk to dusk.
03:12It is also possible to experience early morning rain showers in Southwest Monsoon.
03:18It is also possible that it will still be a bit hot in the afternoon.
03:20The temperature outside is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:24In Togagarao, it is 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.
03:27In Baguio, it is 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.
03:30While in Camaynilaan, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:33In Tagaytay, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:36While in Legazpi, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:40Here in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
03:43there is also a high chance of rain showers in Palawan and Southwest Monsoon.
03:47The temperature outside Kalayaan Islands is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:51In Puerto Princesa, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:55While in Visayas, isolated thunderstorms and rain showers are possible.
04:02In Iloilo, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:05While in Cebu, it is 32 degrees Celsius.
04:07While in Tacloban, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:12A large part of Mindanao will experience rain showers,
04:15thunderstorms, and localised thunderstorms in the afternoon and night.
04:20The high temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:23In Cagendeoro, it is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:26While in Davao, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:30As of now, we still do not have a high-level gale warning.
04:33This means that sea vehicles and small boats are still safe in our country.
04:39It is not expected that the waves of the sea will be strong.
04:42Except if there are thunderstorms that suddenly trigger strong waves.
04:48So, we still have to be careful, especially with small sea vehicles.
04:53Meanwhile, our day will be busy later at 5.41 a.m. and sunset at 6.23 p.m.
