00:00I always heard bearded dragons were quiet, docile and very sedentary, but not Percy.

00:10He proved me wrong about bearded dragons.

00:17When Percy came to me, he was sitting in a dark, filthy tank.

00:22I had to use my bathroom sink as a pool to clean him.

00:28He would splash and dive and swim for 40 minutes.

00:33At first I was frightened, but then I realized Percy just loves water, and that is really unusual for a semi-desert lizard.

00:42High ceilings and windows frightened him a lot.

00:46He would hide under the furniture because of his fear of open space.

00:50I had to build him a big terrarium so he could have space there.

00:56I expected Percy to stay in his enclosure, relaxed, just being a bearded dragon.

01:01But after only a couple weeks, he would venture everywhere.

01:19Once he started buzz-herping and asking to go outside.

01:24We tried to bring him out, and he loved it!

01:28I just could not believe it!

01:32I made him a couple of harnesses of different colors.

01:37Most lizards just stay on the ground and don't move, but this guy, he loves running.

01:44In winter we go to Florida or warmer places so he can be happy because I know he loves when it's hot outside.

01:54A couple of months later the holiday came around and I started to see a lot of the Christmas decorations on the floor.

02:00Turns out Percy was the culprit!

02:14He was like the Grinch of the bearded dragons!

02:19Not only does he like to go outside on walks and is very active, but he also likes to destroy things.

02:27I love Percy and I am so happy he is like no other bearded dragon.

02:32Not only did he prove me wrong about bearded dragons, he also taught me to be more outdoors and charismatic.

02:44We now love to go on hikes and day trips because of him.

02:48I think I won't make any assumptions about any pets again.
