01:40In September 2023, when President Marcos returned to Indonesia for the 43rd ASEAN Summit,
01:47he laid out the importance of the rules-based international order and progress in the economy of the region.
01:54President Marcos also announced that the Philippines will be the host of the ASEAN event in 2026.

02:06migrant workers protection, climate change, and digital transformation issues that are of strategic importance to the Philippines.
02:15In January 2024, Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited the Philippines.

02:31According to Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Gina Hamuralin,
02:35there were many issues that are of great importance to the Philippines and Indonesia.
02:40Ambassador Hamuralin was also asked about the situation of Mary Jane Veloso,
02:45the OFW who is now in Indonesia because of drug charges.
02:50The process of the case is ongoing and it is always on the checklist of the Philippine Embassy.
