Cat Opens The Bathroom Door To Get To Dad

00:17The very first time that I realized
00:19he is very much connected with me
00:22was when I went to the bathroom
00:23and the door then opens and Cheddar just bolts in.

00:28A very intimate thing is happening,
00:31but at the same time, Cheddar needs to be a part of it.

00:35And then I'm just like, this is my life.
00:37I would never trade it for the world.
00:40Another way that Cheddar has disrupted our lives
00:43is that whenever I do laundry, he's right in my face.
00:47And then how am I supposed to say no?
00:48Even if I lock myself in there,
00:50I'll still open the door and be like,
00:51all right, fine, come in here.
00:53It's obviously Cheddar in Eliza's house
00:56and I would be considered the third wheel
00:58in this relationship.
01:03Cheddar doesn't lick my face.
01:06This is only an Elias thing.

01:09He just started doing this cleaning thing.

01:15this is like getting a little out of control.
01:17And then at one point, I just sort of let it go.
01:18I'm like, all right, here, clean my face.
01:21Cheddar has definitely expanded
01:23his Velcro capabilities over the years.
01:26I think he's just sort of blossomed
01:27into a full-blown Velcro cat.

01:35He has this remarkable relationship with Elias.

01:41I get my enjoyment from watching the two of them together
01:44because it's beyond adorable.
01:46In this house, we have a lot of fun.
01:48It's just beyond adorable.
01:50In this house, there's nothing we do without Cheddar.
01:53Honestly, he's just happy to be involved.

02:02We definitely treat Cheddar like a baby.
02:04And some of the ways that we do that are,
02:05we saw a cat stroller and we're like, let's try it out.
02:10We take him around the block.
02:11We come back home and he just pops right out
02:14and he's loving life.
02:16And then, of course, my brain is like,
02:18Chris, what if we tried baby swaddling Cheddar?
02:24He fell into it and he's like, wait, I'm closer to Elias
02:29and I just stay here?
02:30Once he goes in there, he doesn't want to get out.
02:33Cheddar's love language is doing anything with Elias.
02:37Every day, I'm surprised by just how much
02:40he wants to be one with me.
02:42And that's a sign of true love right there.
02:45We've definitely made some changes in our lives
02:47to accommodate Cheddar,
02:49but we wouldn't have it any other way.
02:51I mean, how can you not do everything to make him happy?
02:55The fact that I'm chosen by Cheddar as his person
02:59means the world to me.
