Simone Biles: the gymnastics 'GOAT'?

The USA star won three Olympic golds as she took her medal tally to 41 in major international competitions.

00:00There's a lot of GOAT discussion these days.

00:03Where do you think you place in it?

00:05Maybe for gymnastics, I am kind of one of them.

00:11Or at least everybody says so.

00:18She's like the GOAT of our sport.

00:20She's really brought such a huge following to our sport,

00:24which you have to just be thankful for.

00:26She's absolutely incredible.

00:28Every single time I see her, she just gets better and better.

00:31Somebody that I've just continuously looked up to because she is so amazing.

00:35It's just incredible all the things that she's able to do.

00:38She's amazing on every single apparatus.

00:46To now be a role model, I know how special it is, so I'll cherish that forever.

00:50But it is a little bit different because you don't realize how many eyes are on you until it happens.

00:55But it's an honor. I love doing it.

00:57I think it's fun that kids can look up to me, and hopefully I'm a role model for them.

01:07I'm very proud of Simone and what she did.

01:09She put her health first in Tokyo.

01:12I know that's not how she foresaw the competition going,

01:15but I think she did what was best for her.

01:18Everybody in Team USA understood that and supported that decision.

01:23This is a redemption for her.

01:30It's hard to put the words if you aren't in there.

01:33Unbelievable experience.

01:35You can instantly feel that you're part of history.

01:38Did you throw a lob to her?

01:40Yeah, she looked like she could jump pretty high.

01:43She's a peak athleticism.

01:45I don't know how she does it.

01:46The stuff she does is incredible.

01:50I don't know what she has for breakfast, but it's something powerful.

01:53To do what she did is mind-blowing, to be honest.

01:58She's won so many medals now, and she's expected to do that time after time after time.

02:03It's just a testament to herself.

02:05She's absolutely insane.

02:07I've accomplished way more than my wildest dreams,

02:10not just at this Olympics, but in the sport.

02:13A couple years ago, I didn't think I'd be back here at an Olympic Games.

02:16Competing and then walking away with four medals, I'm not mad about it.

02:20I'm pretty proud of myself.
