00:00Hello everyone, this is GTmedia V8 UHT, it's a digital WiFi satellite receiver.
00:20Now the design of this looks more like a broadband and I don't really like it because you want
00:26it flat and you want it to be just underneath the TV.
00:30This is very difficult.
00:31I tried placing this at the back of the TV, just like a broadband because most of the
00:37broadbands are like in this design but because it's behind the TV, when I use the remote
00:43it wouldn't respond to it because that's behind the TV and it wouldn't change channels or
00:50anything.
00:52I gave up on it but it does the job.
00:56It's not a big problem if you can put it onto the side or you have a different space to
01:00leave that.
01:02On the side, maybe at the top, maybe at the bottom if your TV stand is different and has
01:10a space to hold something like this underneath then it's perfect.
01:14It comes with an HDMI cable.
01:18It comes with a mains plug here.
01:21You can choose EU, the UK one, the US one and Australian one I think as well.
01:29So they can provide different plugs and that's the remote.
01:33At the back here, this is how it looks.
01:36So it does take a SCART lid, it takes an Ethernet port, HDMI port, USB-A port, mains plug port
01:42and it also takes this coaxial port, LMB in and ANT in as well.
01:49So these are the satellite cables that you have to fit in here to get the free channels.
01:55At the top, that's where the on and off button is and it does have some ventilation so it
01:58doesn't overheat.
02:01Underneath here, it has a lot of grip so it doesn't move side to side.
02:04The remote here, if you swipe this down, it requires two AAA batteries to operate and
02:11these are the buttons.
02:12The remote is very good.
02:13It's got plenty of buttons for pretty much everything from navigation, menu, favourites,
02:20satellite, exit, all the buttons there.
02:23You've got a switch on and off here.
02:25You've got the volume control, mute button, YouTube button, you've got the record button.
02:30You will have to put a USB into this to record channels.
02:36You've got play, pause, you've got pretty much all the options here.
02:39Okay, so one good thing about this is that it's 4K Ultra HD 75 FPS resolution.
02:49So if your TV can handle that, if there's any channels there that support 4K, this receiver
02:58can support that as well.
03:01It also has IPTV built in as well, YouTube, multi-stream, it also has GT share, Wi-Fi
03:08and like I mentioned, Ethernet connected.
03:10You can update it through the settings.
03:14So these are all the features, stay tuned, let me get this set up, I can show you how
03:18it looks on the TV screen.
03:22Alright so this is the home page and you can see it says no channel, that's because you
03:27have to go to install and then you've got different satellite receivers here.
03:33Now if I click on the first one and go to satellite list, you've got quite a few of
03:38them so click on the ones that you want to search through.
03:42Once you've done that, you just have to go back and then it will give you a single satellite,
03:49multi-satellite and it will start searching for channels.
03:52So that's it and once it's searched for a channel, you can put them into favourites.
03:58Once you put them in favourites, you've got the channel bit there, here and you can put
04:03them into sports, movies, entertainment, news, music, kids, international and then whenever
04:08you're watching something, you literally go to the favourites, choose news and it will
04:13take you, show you all the news channels and you just choose the one that you want to watch.
04:17Very simple.
04:18Then you've got apps here.
04:20Now you've got YouTube here, I'm not sure, I know Dailymotion, Vimeo, whoever but I don't
04:25know about the other three.
04:26Okay, so I don't know what they are and then you've got IPTV there, you've got settings
04:32there as well.
04:33So if you go to settings, you've got the languages here as well.
04:36Now you can see the languages that you can choose from.
04:39So these are the languages that you can choose from.
04:41So it does have a few languages to choose from and you've got first audio, second audio
04:46that you can choose as well.
04:48And if you go back, oh, did I just change something on my date?
04:54I'm not even sure what language I went to.
05:02Okay, but okay, I'm just going to go back, I'm going to check this out afterwards.
05:11But it has everything, very smooth operating as well.
05:14And it cost about £50, £50 to £60 but it's just a one-off payment and you've got all
05:21the free channels, you've got IPTV, you've got YouTube, everything built into it.
05:25So thank you for watching my video, please do give a like and subscribe.
