6 Next Future Transportation You Must See
Transcript
00:00Hi everyone, welcome to TTI, welcome to a whole new world of science and fun.
00:05Be ready to get excited, because in this video, we're going to see some of the most impressive
00:11means of transportation.
00:13So sit back, relax, and enjoy, my friends.
00:21Number 1.
00:23Flyboard Air.
00:29This innovative personal flying device has appeared to replace self-balancing motorcycles,
00:35hoverboards, and jetpacks.
00:38Flyboard Air looks like a futuristic vehicle and makes us think about the days when people
00:42will use flying machines instead of cars, and public transport too.
00:47It's designed based on the conventional flyboard, which uses powerful water jets to lift a person
00:52into the air.
00:53This device is equipped with jet engines that run on kerosene fuel.
00:58This fuel is fed to the engine from a backpack, which the pilot will carry on their back.
01:09Flyboard creators managed to get rid of the unnecessary pipes and cables which connected
01:14the device to the ground.
01:16Flyboard's pilots will hold a control panel in their hands.
01:19According to designers, the most difficult stage when creating this wonderful machine
01:24was the development of the engine.
01:26It was not easy to design it to be lightweight, only around 3 kilograms, and produce more
01:31than 30 kilograms of traction without wasting too much fuel.
01:35At present, Flyboard Air can lift a weight of 100 kilograms and can fly at a speed of
01:41up to 140 kilometers per hour during 6 minutes.
01:45The developers of this project, however, continue to improve it.
01:49Soon, Flyboard Air top speed will be 200 kilometers per hour.
01:53Its flight capacity will increase to 30 minutes, and its load capacity to 200 kilograms.
02:04Number 2
02:06Trike
02:11This is a unique three-wheeled vehicle that looks like a scooter, but it has much more
02:15outstanding technical features.
02:18This model is equipped with Trike Tech's patented 3CV cambering vehicle system, which
02:23allows users to travel without pedals and even without having to touch the ground with
02:27their feet.
02:28The movement is similar to that of some skates, as the user pushes with one foot, cambering,
02:34and then moves to the other foot, and keeps doing it.
02:37It's worth noting that going on a trip using the Trike can replace a visit to the gym.
02:41Thanks to its unique design, almost all of the muscle groups are used during a Trike
02:45trip.
02:50Trike manufacturers have produced different models weighing between 5 and 13 kilograms.
02:55Its frame is made of durable aluminum, and its brakes provide a high level of safety
03:00on the street.
03:01Trike is also an environmentally friendly vehicle because it uses electricity as fuel.
03:06Its high-capacity battery allows to travel up to 45 kilometers on a single charge.
03:12An advantage of this vehicle is its foldable design.
03:15It's not only easy and convenient to store, but you can even take it with you on public
03:20transport.
03:22Trike cost depends on the model varying between $220 and $1,100.
03:30Number 3
03:32Deep Flight
03:38The name of this device speaks for itself.
03:40It was created for deep flights, that is, to go underwater.
03:45It is quite easy to imagine as when you see it from the outside, it looks like an airplane.
03:50Deep Flight is an individual submarine with a glazed cockpit for the pilots and passengers
03:54who enjoy the underwater scenery.
03:57The first model, the Super Falcon, is quite large.
04:01It measures 5.9 meters long, 2.7 meters wide, and 1.6 meters high.
04:07It can travel to a depth of 100 meters and carries a total mass of no more than 250 kilograms.
04:14This vehicle is also environmentally friendly.
04:17It travels fast, but in complete silence.
04:25There is another model, the improved Super Falcon 3S, which can also descend to a water
04:30depth of 100 meters, but it transports a total weight of up to 375 kilograms.
04:36Although this vehicle is a submarine, its control panel is very unconventional.
04:41Deep Flight creators wanted it to be maneuvered by anyone without any special training.
04:46That's why its controls are intuitive, and just a little training is required.
04:51The cockpit was also designed to protect the pilots and passengers from pressure.
04:55Its creators claim that this device is absolutely safe, and in any unforeseen situation, it
05:01automatically will rise to the surface.
05:10Porsche 996 Hoverboard
05:19Bell & Bell Studio, based in Barcelona, Spain, is working on the creation of a hoverboard
05:23based on the Porsche 996 model.
05:26This company creates customized vehicles and furniture from unusual materials.
05:31The Porsche 996 Hoverboard is a unique vehicle, assembled completely by hand.
05:36A real car was used as the basis for this manufacture.
05:40Before this project, Bell & Bell used to develop static furniture and different sofas in the
05:45shape of cars.
05:50The Porsche 996 Hoverboard is one of the first models to adopt the ability of the original
05:55car to move freely anywhere at any time.
05:59The developers thought that a sofa in which you can go, for example, from the living room
06:03to the kitchen, could be an incredibly useful invention.
06:07And they were right.
06:08This device will be on sale in the second half of 2018.
06:12At the moment, there is no information on its price, capacity, or exact dimensions.
06:23Number 5
06:25Nissan Blade Glider
06:31This unusual vehicle was first shown in 2013.
06:33However, the Nissan company has continued to refine it since then.
06:38In June 2017, the Blade Glider functional prototype participated in the Goodwood Festival
06:43of Speed.
06:44It combines environmentally friendly impact with impressive dynamic characteristics.
06:50It is also part of the Nissan project to develop zero-emission vehicles.
06:54It was not named Blade Glider by accident, as this electric car literally glides on the
07:00road thanks to the near-silent performance of its electric powertrain and aerodynamic
07:05shape.
07:06This model has a new configuration, a narrow front and wider wheels.
07:11This design gives the car optimum aerodynamic characteristics.
07:15It also ensures control.
07:17Its open roof is reinforced with an integrated rollover protection structure that provides
07:22safety in the event of a crash.
07:24It is worth paying attention to the high-waisted rear-hinged dihedral doors that provide a
07:29dramatic entry and exit from the car cabin.
07:32As it was mentioned before, this vehicle works with electricity, but does not prevent it
07:37from reaching great power.
07:39It can run at a speed of 190 km per hour and goes from 0 to 100 km in less than 5 seconds.
07:53Number 6
07:56Icon A5
08:01This is an amphibious light sport aircraft produced by the American company Icon Aircraft.
08:07It was first flown in 2008, but the first production model was launched in 2015.
08:13In short, Icon A5 is a high-wing monoplane with a carbon fiber airframe and retractable
08:19landing gear.
08:20It should be noted that this model has folding wings, which can be retracted manually or
08:25using an optional electromechanical unit.
08:28Therefore, when it is folded, this aircraft is compact and can be easily transported.
08:37This vehicle is equipped with a 100-horsepower Rotax 912IS engine.
08:42It is designed to transport two people.
08:45Icon A5 creators wanted to simplify its handling as much as possible, which is why the interior
08:50of its cabin is similar to the interior of a car.
08:54To ensure safety, this aircraft is equipped with an emergency parachute that is capable
08:59of safely landing in case of an emergency situation without damaging its airframe.
09:05This aircraft can develop a maximum speed of 176 km per hour.
09:11The flight range is 791 km.
09:14Icon A5 can also take off and land either on land or water.
