00:00The police have said they have sufficient resources to deal with this currently and as I say they're sharing intelligence,
00:07they're looking to use facial recognition techniques, all of that is part of how they are tackling this criminality on our streets at the moment.
00:15Well the current Prime Minister was obviously the DPP in 2011 when there was the use of 24 hour courts.
00:22What's been said is that the courts will do whatever is necessary to make sure that offenders can be brought before the courts
00:29and processed, the Lord Chancellor has made that very clear, the judiciary are in charge of that but that is not going to be an issue
00:37and then obviously prison places, there are prison places if people need to be remanded as well.
00:42The focus this weekend has to be about calling out the criminality on our streets.
00:47These thugs and hooligans who are causing mayhem in communities have to be arrested, brought before the courts
00:54and they have to suffer consequences for their actions, that's the focus this weekend, let's deal with that.
01:01People have the right to different views but there are ways of peacefully protesting that's separate to what we're seeing on the streets, this is criminality.
