00:09He stands 188cm tall and weighs a ready 79.6kg.
00:17Representing All Star Training Center and fighting out of Stockholm, Sweden.
00:26Give it up for Hamza Bozcanmayer.
00:38And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, this man is a mixed martial artist with a perfect professional record of 4 wins and no losses.
00:49He stands 188cm tall and weighs a ready 79.1kg.
00:57Representing Shotgun MMA and fighting out of Johannesburg, South Africa.
01:08Give it up for Master of Jiu-Jitsu, Snakebone Tyler Longworth.
01:22Your referee is Thomas Runder.
01:38Ladies and gentlemen, I am too excited for this one.
02:08Jimmy Ebb out of the world famous All Star Gym as well.
02:11So he's got great training partners.
02:13Who's who, yeah.
02:14Exactly, he'd be well used to it in this type of position with some of the best in the world.
02:18He's in that anchor position that we like to call the half guard position here and expect hell to rain down on top of Halonga here with Jimmy Ebb.
02:25And he'll do it with a sinister smile on his face.
02:28If you're spending time in the gym with somebody like Iliyar Latife, with Erez and Madadi, you're going to be put in these positions.
02:34You're going to know exactly what to do.
02:36I think with some of the best in the world.
02:38Halonga's being smart. He's establishing a butterfly guard.
02:41He's establishing different types of movements with his knees to make sure his opponent can't just solidify a nice half guard.
02:47Can't solidify a proper side control or whatever further from that.
02:51So it's really nice to see that even though he's still on his back, he's playing it as safe as possible.
02:57Look at what Jimmy Ebb is doing with his head.
02:59He was just grinding it under the chin of Halonga.
03:02He's got that arm trapped and he's looking to step across.
03:05Maybe crucifix goes knee on belly instead.
03:08Good shots on top by Bors.
03:11And this is a smart position, using the fence as your frenemy.
03:14Beat him and pick him up, slam him back down.
03:17Again, that illustrates just how dangerous and how necessary those double underhooks are in mixed martial arts.
03:22And you see how immediately he's in half guard, immediately transitions over to side control.
03:26Just stepping over that leg and trying to get possibly a top crucifix.
03:30He's already blocked that arm and trapped that arm.
03:34Halonga doing excellent work to get back to his feet.
03:36It was only for a second and a big, big takedown.
03:39Jimmy Ebb working and grinding that forearm now across the jawline.
03:44And Halonga, that's living hell there.
03:46Making it so uncomfortable, forcing him to turn away when he should be trying to turn in towards Hamzat
03:51to try and perhaps get a knee and get the knee shield, recover half guard.
03:56And I like how he's putting it at the neck.
03:58And it's just suffocating your opponent.
04:00It's not a submission, it's not going to tap someone out.
04:02But being able to suffocate them without literally putting your hand over their mouth and nose.
04:07It changes the whole game and makes your opponent forcefully move to different positions.
04:11And Arm Show potentially here, he lets it go because he's got himself in the full mount.
04:17Hamzat Shibuya showcasing all his skills so far this evening.
04:20Everyone thought this might be a stand-off war and he's shown that he's a true martial artist,
04:23well-rounded mixed martial artist.
04:25Putting on a performance here on the mat.
04:27Constantly working as well.
04:30That's a good point, Noel.
04:31You see when he's in these positions, he's not just laying and praying.
04:34He's creating these little pockets from which he can land the elbow.
04:37He's framing off beautifully, using his hand just to frame off and crash in with that elbow.
04:41And he's doing more than enough to keep this fight on the ground.
04:44So the referee doesn't go, hey, you're not doing any action.
04:46He's doing action, it's just a very technical aspect to where it might not be extremely damaging,
04:51but it's definitely enough to keep this fight where it's at.
04:55Guard was wide open there, but Hamzat was comfortable in that position.
04:58He could have slid into scarf, he could have got that knee through,
05:01but he seems to be quite happy in that anchor position.
05:04I train under Dean Thomas and he loves the half guard position.
05:07He believes that's the best position for ground and pound,
05:10especially if you're able to get your opponents back against the fence.
05:13He has nowhere to move. He is stuck there.
05:15You're trapping his leg, that other shoulder is trapped against the fence
05:18and he's not able to really, in a sense, go out a back door because there isn't a back door.
05:25You might be only able to punch with one arm, but that's more than no arms.
05:28That's more than not doing any type of damage.
05:30And again, it's forcing your opponent to, in a sense, suffocate himself
05:33and try to go in a different position and maybe a submission comes out of it.
05:37Nasty elbows being rained down there on top.
05:39They're all starting to add up and really take away...
05:45...from Halonga.
05:46And Halonga, he's not really showing a frustrated face at the moment,
05:50but it's got to be frustrating being caught under this for the majority of the opening round.
05:54Oh, it's definitely frustrating and immensely draining.
05:56Again, it possibly is going to force you to do different things,
05:59especially if he gets taken down immediately in the second round.
06:02What is he going to do next?
06:03Is he going to stay in this position the entire second round?
06:06Or is he going to stand up?
06:07Great game plan as well when you look at it by Halonga.
06:09He's making him be defensive, grappling, tire him out.
06:11I'm sure, you know, he's seen the viral footage.
06:13He's seen the KO power that is in the hands and both hands of Halonga
06:17and he's taken that away by making him work constantly on the canvas.
06:1930 seconds to go.
06:23It looks like this fight is going to go into the second round.
06:25So what he's done is he's depleted the cardio of Halonga more than he has his own
06:30because he's there, he's landing his shots.
06:32And he's going to make Halonga think about the takedown.
06:34So that's going to open up a whole new world on the feet as well
06:37because Halonga in the back of his mind is thinking,
06:38here's the takedown, here's the takedown.
06:50And as you say, Hamza has now put that tech in Mazwandili's head.
06:53He's letting him know that yes, potentially you could be taken down,
06:56which then leaves him vulnerable for the strikes.
06:58Very intelligent.
06:59Changes levels and looks for that takedown again
07:01and got the two-hands class going.
07:02So he's got to run over to his corner.
07:04Oh, he went for it.
07:05Beautiful.
07:07And that's an extremely smart move by Hamza.
07:09He's got the two-hands class going.
07:11He's got to run over to his corner.
07:12Oh, he went for it.
07:13Beautiful.
07:14And that's an extremely smart move by Hamza.
07:16He's got the two-hands class going.
07:18That's an extremely smart move.
07:19Again, taking him to your corner.
07:21If you can, why not on this side?
07:23You're able to listen to your coaches there.
07:25He has two amazing coaches.
07:26He trains with some of the best in the world.
07:28And from here, he's just listening.
07:30Nothing has to be yelled at.
07:32He hears it right then and there, and he's able to act upon it.
07:41And you see his coach, even with the hand gestures and movement,
07:44he's looking going, what do I need to do?
07:46Oh, okay, cool.
07:47All right, I'm doing it, coach.
07:48I'm doing it.
07:49I'm listening 100% to what you're saying.
07:51And you see how easily he's transitioning to a different position.
07:54Looking for a neck here to drag Halonga back down.
07:57He ties that up.
07:58He's going for the tars.
07:59Beautiful.
08:00He needs to lock up the legs.
08:02He's trying to get it.
08:05And he's trying to stay on top of this 100% finish rate.
08:07Halonga is trying his best to move.
08:09He's doing the right thing.
08:10He's trying to prevent.
08:12And he can get it in this position as well.
08:18Oh, he's out.
08:19He's out.
08:20He is out.
08:21And that is it.
08:22Hamza Shamier has won.
08:48Good job.
09:14Are you absolutely kidding me?
09:17What a win that was!
09:20This victory comes at 1 minute and 16 seconds of the second round.
09:27Your winner, by Darkest Shadow, Hanzo Burst Shatter!
09:47Thanks for watching!
