00:00Hey everyone, I'm Savannah Gankiewicz, your Miss USA 2023, and I'm so excited to share my journey

00:08with you. From unexpected challenges to incredible triumphs, this experience has truly changed my

00:14life. Savannah's journey to the Miss USA crown began in an unexpected way. Following Noeah

00:20Voight's surprise resignation in early May, Savannah stepped up, embracing the opportunity

00:26with grace and determination. I can't speak on their experience, but for me, it's been nothing

00:31but amazing. These past three months have been the best of my life, and I'm so grateful I took

00:37this opportunity. Despite initial pushback, Savannah used her platform to shed light on

00:42important issues, including the devastating Maui wildfires. During the state costume portion,

00:48I wore a costume honoring the victims of the wildfire and our resilient banyan tree.

00:53It was an emotional moment for me, and a way to bring attention to those in need. Savannah's

00:58efforts didn't stop there. She helped raise over $12,000 for the Maui community, providing much

01:04needed relief and hope. Maui is a close-knit community, and everyone came together in a time

01:10of need. It was incredible to see the support and generosity from people all around. Maui needs

01:17tourism to thrive. If you can, come visit and support our beautiful island. There's so much

01:23to see and do, and your visit makes a big difference. As Savannah prepares to crown her

01:29successor on August 4, she reflects on the impact and growth she has experienced. This journey has

01:34given me confidence and empowerment. I want every young woman to feel the same. Thank you, Miss USA,
