00:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the biggest party of the summer, the 37th annual Summer Slam, live from Cleveland, Ohio.
00:17There is a poster of the Phony Tribal Chief, Sonny Sarkoa, along with the new WWE Tag Team Champions, Tom Otonga, It's Alyssa, and Jacob Fatu, along with Tango Loa, the Hitchman in the back.
00:37We have the countdown to Summer Slam, the pre-show with Michael Cole, Big E, Pat McAfee, Baron Cole, and Peter Rosenthal. We go over the storyline-wise.
00:50We go over the King of the Ring, Gunther, and the Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax, Sami Zayn, the Intercontinental Champion, Dave Morgan, the current Women's World Champion, Bayley, the Women's Champion,
01:03the U.S. Champion, Cody Rhodes, the U.S. Champion, Logan Paul, numerous talent, and of course, the guest works will be matched between Seth Drew, Sam Punk, and Bromberg, so there's a lot going on.
01:19And then, of course, we have Mr. Cleveland himself, the Miz, being special guest host. We know the last time the Miz was guest host, he was in a match with Shane McMahon that turned into Shane getting injured and Snoop Dogg getting his wrestlemania victory over the Miz.
01:38We have Pretty Daddy or somebody else in the rep, and then that would lead to Awesome Drew being in a tag match on the pre-show or on the main show, but who knows.
01:49Last time, we had Trish Stratus being the guest host for Money in the Bank, but we get another guest host in Bastion Berlin in Germany, who knows.
02:00And then our first match on the main show for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship.
02:11Yeah, scene time has been different numerous times at SummerSlam.
02:17We have Sami Zayn vs. Brom Breaker.
02:23We know that Rick Steiner will be in the present. Brom Breaker has been targeted.
02:31Sami Zayn, since his debut, has been on a terrible rampage, but Sami Zayn already got one victory over Brom Breaker.
02:43Sami Zayn's history at SummerSlam, it doesn't look that good. He only won a tag team match with Adrian Neville against the Dudleys in 2016 on the pre-show.
02:55So, it's not like it's that good for Sami Zayn. Brom Breaker, his first SummerSlam event brought to you by C4, Ringstop, and Prime.
03:09Ringstop will be with Prime in the middle of the ring as well.
03:13But tonight, Brom Breaker actually becoming the Intercontinental Champion against Sami Zayn.
03:22It's possible that Sami Zayn and Jay Uesaka could go after the Intercontinental Championship title after Sami Zayn is down to Brom Breaker.
03:31But Brom does win here.
03:34Do we see Breaker and Dragunov at Bachelor Berlin or do we see return of Adrian Dragunov tonight after suffering like a concussion and like a bruised rib by the hands of Brom Breaker to earn his opportunity against Sami Zayn.
03:54Who knows. But there, Brom Breaker becoming the new Intercontinental Champion here tonight at SummerSlam.
04:01Also tonight, we have for the United States Championship, Logan Paul defending against Alan Knight.
04:08Logan Paul is one of the longest-running United States Champions in two title defenses since winning it.
04:15Logan Paul has been in an amazing role.
04:17He defeated Ricochet in 2023, beat the Miz in 2022, so right now he's 2-0 at SummerSlam.
04:24Alan Knight, he won the Slim Jim Battle of Water last year.
04:31So, Alan Knight is 1-0 at SummerSlam.
04:34Who's on the streak here?
04:36I do have Logan Paul trying to do some shenanigans, but Alan Knight has to be on his PBQs to watch Logan Paul and his buddies.
04:46And I do see Alan Knight driving Logan Paul's Prime Truck to the ring to get under the skin of Logan Paul.
04:53Because if he didn't watch SmackDown, Alan Knight contempted and did some GTA stealing Logan's Prime Truck.
05:02So, I do see Alan Knight becoming the United States Champion, holding his first title on the main roster.
05:12Again, WWE doesn't like...
05:15I mean, they don't...
05:17They haven't really been doing the hometown guys getting victories lately, or hometown girls getting victories.
05:25So, I do have Alan Knight becoming the United States Champion here tonight, and he deserves it as well.
05:32Up next, for the World Heavyweight Championship.
05:38Somewhat later than the judgment that Damian Priest is taking on the Ringed General of the King of the Ring, Guthrie.
05:48Damian Priest's history at SummerSlam lost the Slim Jim Battle of Water in 2003.
05:54He lost the tag match against Rey and Dom in 2022, and he beat Sheamus for the United States title in 2021.
06:02Guthrie, on the other hand, is 1-0. He beat Richard McTaggart in last year's SummerSlam.
06:10So, Damian Priest is 1-2.
06:13Oh, yeah, 1-2 at SummerSlam.
06:15Guthrie is 1-1, or 1-0.
06:19But now, it all comes down to this. What does this lead to for the judgment of Israel?
06:26As we know, we've been getting teased left to right.
06:30Babyface Damian and Babyface Rhea has been in the perks lately, smiling and being all gushy-gushy.
06:41While Finn, on the other hand, he's been teasing to Damian to split from Damian in the judgment phase.
06:52So, that may come out to play during this bout.
06:56During this bout, we see Finn and JD, the tag team champions, trying to get involved.
07:02Since then, they'll have to defend the tag team titles right now.
07:11And Priest just won this championship at WrestleMania.
07:16Cashing in successfully has been a successful title run.
07:22But you go up against Reginald Guthrie.
07:24So, I got Guthrie becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion here tonight at SummerSlam.
07:34A possible rematch could be in the works for Basha Berlin if Guthrie does win.
07:39And as for the World Tag Team titles, I do see possible Finn and JD losing to Sami Zayn and Jey Uso down the road.
07:50So, yeah, I have Guthrie becoming the new NXT World Heavyweight Champion here tonight at SummerSlam.
07:57The last time a person won King of the Ring at WrestleMania was Brock Lesnar to do that.
08:05And become WWE Champion.
08:08So, maybe history repeats itself.
08:11So, that was way back in 2002. Now, we're in 2024.
08:15So, I do have Guthrie becoming World Heavyweight Champion.
08:21Up next, this is an amazing battle.
08:25We have for the Women's World Heavyweight Championship.
08:29Lynn Morgan defending against one of the leaders of Judgment Day, Mommy Rhea Ripley.
08:37Her first match back since injury since WrestleMania.
08:41Lynn Morgan's Revenge Tour was underway.
08:44Becoming Women's Champion after Rhea got injured.
08:49Becky Lynch is out of the scene right now.
08:54So, we'll see what happens here.
08:57But, I do see Tiffany Stratton being on commentary with the Raw Now team.
09:03Teasing that she could cash in on any of the Women's Champions.
09:09That's including the Tag Team Champions as well.
09:14But, this could end up being like two different occasions.
09:21I don't see Rhea Ripley winning the Women's Championship here tonight at SummerSlam.
09:30I do see Dom possible casting Rhea in the match against Lynn Morgan.
09:40That could lead to Dom vs. Rhea at Fashion Berlin in an intergender match.
09:53Or, it could lead to a tag match where Priest and Rhea vs. Dom and Liv in a mixed tag.
10:08Or, Raquel Vargas has been informed that she's ready to return to action.
10:14She has been seen since Elimination Chamber.
10:18And, we could see a heel turn for Raquel Vargas.
10:23Allowing herself and her former partner, Lynn Morgan to attack Rhea Ripley.
10:29But, I do have Lynn Morgan retaining the Women's Warrant title here tonight at SummerSlam due to shenanigans from Dom and the possible Raquel Vargas return.
10:46And also, back to Gunther and Damien.
10:49Gunther interrupted Damien's show that he had.
11:00So, yeah.
11:03Kind of the same thing that John and Iceberg did the same, but Gunther and Damien Priest ran out of it and fought during that interview or his one-man show, whatever you call it.
11:16And up next, we have Jellyroll performance.
11:20Jellyroll did a special theme song for SummerSlam.
11:25It's possible that he may be available, but Triple H didn't ask him if he had any time off from his tournament schedule to appear at SummerSlam.
11:35But, Jellyroll played a performance tonight, maybe, who knows, one or two songs.
11:41But, we'll see since he's one of the top main artists right now.
11:46Will Jellyroll make an appearance at SummerSlam?
11:49Who knows.
11:52And then, up next, for the WWE Women's Championship.
11:59Oh, for the history, though.
12:02Sorry, I keep jumping back and forth.
12:04So, for the history at SummerSlam, Lynn Morgan at SummerSlam 2022, retained SmackDown Live Women's Title against Ronda Rousey in 2022, and then lost to Charlotte Flair.
12:16Rhea Ripley lost to Charlotte Flair in the three-way.
12:20And Ruth Niki crossed the ball in 2021 for the Women's, well, Women's Title at the time.
12:29And then, up next for the Women's Championship, Bayley defended against Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, also a ringside background commentary with her pink briefcase that she got gifted by Nia Jax.
12:48Bayley's history at SummerSlam, she returned at SummerSlam for Major League in 2022, former EOS God of Gold Kai.
12:59Beat Asuka to retain the SmackDown Women's Title in 2020, and then beat Amber Moon to retain the SmackDown Women's Title at SummerSlam 2019.
13:08As for Nia Jax, this is her first SummerSlam match.
13:14Tonight, though, I do have the original force, Nia Jax, to become the new Women's World Champion.
13:27You need to put the title on Nia Jax, but I do have a feeling that Bayley may bring back the Bayley Buddies as well, just for one night, just for this special event.
13:43If I do have Nia Jax win and become a champion, Tiffany tries to maybe end up teasing a cash-in, but she doesn't do it and just ends up celebrating with Nia Jax.
13:57Also, keep our eye on the Women's Championship, so that could be Bayley versus Nia, maybe in a rematch at Bash in Berlin.
14:11Who knows?
14:14Up next, our co-main event, Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk with special guest referee, Mr. Dripkot himself.
14:27Seth, great game, and our honors for the history for these three from SummerSlam.
14:37The last time we had a guest referee was 2013.
14:49As for Seth Rollins' history at SummerSlam, he retained the world title against Finn Balor in last year's SummerSlam, lost to Edge and Adam Copeland in 2021,
15:02beat Dominic in his first match in the Thunderdome in 2020, beat Brock for the Universal title in 2019, beat Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title in 2018,
15:15him and Dean Ambrose beat DaBar, Shammus' desire for the World Title in 2017,
15:222016, lost Finn Balor for the Universal title, beat John Cena for the US title in the Winter TakeOver in 2015, and beat Dean Ambrose in the Lumberjack in 2014.
15:39As for Drew McIntyre, he lost to Gunther in 2023, beat Jinder Mahal in 2021, beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE title in 2020,
15:52he was in Dolph Ziggler's corner in 2018 against Seth Rollins, with Dean Ambrose in his corner.
15:59As for CM Punk, his last one-on-one was in 2013, right before he left.
16:18The last time we seen Punk was in World of Rumble, and then the night after, got assaulted by Drew McIntyre.
16:26But as for the history of CM Punk and SummerSlam, he lost to Brock in 2013, retained the WWE title against John Cena in the Big Show in 2012,
16:37beat John Cena for the Unspeeded title, which he'll play as a referee in 2011, lost to Darryl Rios thanks to Kevin Nash in the same SummerSlam,
16:47lost to Big Show in the Handicap match with the Australian Society with Gallows and Joey Mercury in 2010,
17:00beat Jeff Hardy in the TLC match for the World Heavyweight title in 2009, and then I don't think he'll return in SummerSlam,
17:07beat John Bradshaw-Lafey to retain the World Heavyweight title in 2008, and then lost to John Morrison.
17:16And then UCW title in 2007.
17:21Now, there's a lot going on here.
17:24These two have been fielding since the night after the World of Rumble of last year,
17:39so it's been going on almost a year now between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, and that includes Seth Rollins.
17:49And then, come to WrestleMania, CM Punk costs Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight title after Drew beat Rollins on Night 2 at WrestleMania,
18:14and then CM Punk costs Drew McIntyre the titles with Damian Priest successfully cashing in.
18:24And then, Drew McIntyre ruins CM Punk's hometown, attacking him in a front parking lot, leaving him in a bloody mess.
18:36But CM Punk costs Drew again at Money in the Bank, where Drew McIntyre tried to cash in after winning the Money in the Bank ladder match,
19:00trying to cash in on Damian Priest and Seth Rollins, where he did cash in, but CM Punk made an effort himself to cost Drew McIntyre and really Seth Rollins the opportunity.
19:18Because Seth was eyeing Drew the whole match, he was telling Drew to come out, come out, come out.
19:25And then CM Punk did get involved, attacking Drew McIntyre, hitting him with the World Heavyweight title to Damian Priest retaining the championship.
19:37Now for this battle, you can go with what Bret Hart, Shawn, and Taker did.
19:50Bret spitting in the face of Shawn, Shawn clocking Taker's chair, and Bret pinning Taker for the three.
20:02That could lead to CM Punk or Drew getting in the face of Rollins.
20:10Rollins uses the chair to smash Punk in the face, Drew pins Punk one, two, three.
20:18Rollins ends up curve stopping Drew.
20:21Punk ends up hitting GTS on Rollins.
20:27Or...
20:30Punk wins over Drew.
20:34Rollins and Punk go at it, and Drew claims Rollins.
20:40Claiming Punk, Rollins curve stops Drew.
20:47This could go to a three-way dance at Baxton, Berlin to give everybody what they want to let these three figure out.
21:00And with the winner receiving the opportunity for the World Heavyweight title at Baxton in October.
21:08But who needs this win more?
21:12CM Punk to get back his bracelet.
21:17I think he has a shed in the storyline where Drew McIntyre steals CM Punk's dog Larry.
21:27But that could be in the works for another time.
21:30That could be in the works for another time.
21:33But I do see CM Punk winning his first match back over Drew McIntyre.
21:43And then Rollins ends up curve stopping both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
21:51And he's drooped down over Drew McIntyre.
21:54So I do have CM Punk over Drew McIntyre in the co-main event.
22:00And in our main event, Beneficial Bloodline Rules for the Undisputed Championship.
22:06Cody Rollins, The American Nightmare vs. Celest Gowat, the newly approved tribal chief.
22:13As for Cody's Summerslam history, he beat Brock in 2023.
22:17Lost to Adrian Neville and Stephen Amell in a tag match in 2015 at Stardust and Ray Barrett.
22:26He was involved in a lumberjack match between Seth Rollins and Dean Evans in 2014.
22:31Beat Damien Sandow in 2013, and then lost to DX in a tag match in 2009.
22:38So as a whole, this is his first Summerslam match, and his first really big one-on-one singles match for a championship.
22:48Could we see the return of Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, who got taken out by the Bloodline.
22:57Bagging up Cody since Clash of the Castle.
23:05Could we see The Rock, the final boss return that he just finished wrapping up a movie.
23:12Could we see the return of Jimmy Uso, and of course, the head of the table, the actual tribal chief, Roman Reigns.
23:21Also, we will see the new tag team champion, Jacob Hatu, the Hotunga, defeated DIY, and take a loan with his eyepatch.
23:33I feel like Bloodline rules. You know the Bloodline don't get involved.
23:37I do see Solo's Bloodline jump on Cody until Randy Orton and Kevin Owens make their return.
23:45They got taken out, so I do see Randy Orton and Kevin Owens return to try to fight off the Bloodline.
23:53Bloodline takes charge of them.
23:55Jimmy Uso makes his return.
23:58Super kicking Tama Tonga, and getting a super kick on Solo Sokoda.
24:07Out comes The Rock to take out Jimmy with the spine buster.
24:14And then hitting The Rock bottom on Cody Williams, and then beating him with the leather belt.
24:20And then having Solo Sokoda getting the cover over Cody Williams.
24:28Roman Reigns music hits.
24:31Paul Heyman with Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman got taken out by the Bloodline as well.
24:37Gets Paul to not acknowledge Solo Sokoda as his tribal chief.
24:42Roman comes up with the Wiseman, takes out Bloodline 2.0.
24:48Stares down Solo Sokoda.
24:50Solo tells Roman to get Cody.
24:53Roman eyeballs Cody, turns back around, spears Solo, Superman punches Solo.
25:00Cody Williams with the three crosswords to retain the championship.
25:07And then ending on a final note, we have Roman Reigns and The Rock facing off in the middle of the ring.
25:13To hype up a possible WrestleMania 41 match.
25:19That we were supposed to get at WrestleMania 39, and that we were supposed to get at WrestleMania 40.
25:24So it's possible that we may get that one at WrestleMania 41.
25:28So we do see Cody Williams retaining the championship.
25:32Roman Reigns returns, Jimmy returns, Randy Orton returns, Kevin Owens returns.
25:37Bloodline all getting involved. The Rock returns as well.
25:41So numerous same things that happen at WrestleMania.
25:47Like the final maybe 15 minutes of non-stop interferences left and right.
25:55But I do see Cody Williams retaining the title.
25:58And then Roman Reigns and The Rock stare down to end SummerSlam on a high note.
26:03That is my WWE SummerSlam 2024 predictions.
26:06Leave your predictions in the comments down below.
26:08Thanks for watching. Peace.
