00:00Good evening from Paris where day seven of these Olympic Games is just winding
00:04down and for my money has been the best day of the game so far. An incredible
00:08atmosphere here in the French capital this evening and we'll get on to the
00:11reasons for exactly why in a moment but first of all to reflect on another day
00:15of success for Team GB. There have been three more gold medals added to the
00:19tally. First of all in the women's rowing Imogen Grant and Emily Craig. A lot of
00:24people's ideas coming into these games for Britain's most sure bet of a gold
00:27medal. They were unbeaten since Tokyo and they delivered at the end of that long
00:31three-year journey. Then there was more gold in the equestrian events for Team
00:36Jumping following on from the success of course of the Team Eventus earlier in
00:40the games and then Bryony Page on the trampoline she completed a career set
00:44having won bronze and silver at the last two games. There were silver medals for
00:48Britain in the pool as well more bronze in the diving but if you think they've
00:51had a good day then what about the French? It's been absolutely remarkable.
00:55Teddy Reiner who was one of their flag bearers at the opening ceremony he won
00:59gold in the judo this afternoon. Into the evening there was a 1-2-3 in the
01:03men's BMX racing and then the big one at the Aquatic Centre rather at
01:08La Defense Arena the one they've all been waiting for. Leon Marchand the
01:12poster boy of the games made it perfect four golds from four at these games just
01:16a remarkable performance a remarkable week. He's had 11 swims in all and he's
01:21delivered under the utmost pressure in an absolutely brilliant atmosphere there
01:24once again.
