Nobody remembers appointing swans as defenders of the grass, but that's their role now, and no one seems brave enough to challenge them.
"Vevey Port is a favorite place for swans who live in Vevey," the filmer, Victoria, told WooGlobe. "In the morning, they leave the water and head to the green grass where my dogs usually walk.
"This morning, a swan tried to protect the grass from my two Frenchies, so it turned into a bit of a battle between the swan and the dogs."
The pups are smart enough not to let the situation escalate. They test the swan's resolve a few times and, upon realizing its strength, decide to back off.
