00:00The conclusion is that the Ministry of Agriculture and Commodity will go to all of these countries

00:08because the land is different.

00:10If Sabah is different, if Sarawak is different, if Kelantan is different, if Perlis is different.

00:15So the rules are different.

00:19So we feel that they are asking the Ministry of Agriculture and Commodity

00:24to go and do a roadshow to these countries

00:28and involve the state agencies

00:33so that they understand how important it is for us to do this tweaking.

00:38Actually, there is no cost. It's tweaking.

00:40Because of certification, we have to do it.

00:42Secondly, the land that has been gazetted as a reserve forest.

00:47We have 10.6 million hectares of reserve land.

00:54We can't just throw it away.

00:56We can't just go and plant it.

00:58It doesn't matter what we want to plant.

01:00Whether it's palm, palm oil, or coconut.

01:02We can't just throw it away.

01:04When we throw it away,

01:06we as a country have failed.

01:10When we fail,

01:12all of our production that we export will become a problem.

01:16But until today, we have complied with everything

01:18because our forest cover in Malaysia

01:23is 54%.

01:25The government of Malaysia signed in 1992

01:27that we committed to 50%.

01:29We can't be less than 50%.

01:31So we have to comply with this.

01:33Palm oil.

01:35We produce 18.5 million metric tons.

01:39But we use 4 million.

01:41The rest has to be exported.

01:43So imagine if we don't export our products

01:45because we don't comply

01:47on the world standard, world requirement.

01:49Sustainability doesn't comply.

01:51Who's going to use the 14 million metric tons?

01:55It's basic, but it's important.

01:57But in the past, we didn't care

01:59because the world requirement is not this.

02:03The world doesn't need this.

02:05But today, two worlds have to comply.
